Jimmie Ellis - Baby I Love You - Ride
I have an Orange label T-146 issue. The Red looking lable may just be a poor scan. I would say the 155 issue is some form of reissue with the artists permission.

just as an aside. I remember having a conversation with Garry Cape about Jesse Boone / Soul-po-tion stuff in the way back when. Cant remember exactly (I'm getting old you know) but seem to recall Garry saying that Jesse had his own record shop and used to knock his records and other Soulpotion stuff out of there. If copies of something ran out it would get repressed and put back on the shelves. Maybe why there are different numbers ? Anyway I think it ended badly with something happening to the shop and all the stock junked / destroyed.- Bitty Mclean
Always though his cover of Ruffins ' Walk Away from Love' was a better track. But they're both good- Anne Heywood: Crook His Little Finger
We got a decent haul, but as you say some of the local funk collectors had been in and from memory we had followed some Japanese collectors a few days before. But overall we came away with about 100 + 45's I guess. Ann Crook, 5 Steve Mancha's, 4 Barbara Middleton on TRC (these were mint), 5 Devonnes on King Falcons on Big Wheel, most were single copies but a few we had quantity. We did leave lots of stuff though which at the time we thought wasnt worth bringing back. Probably a mistake now !!- Anne Heywood: Crook His Little Finger
Hi all It was me and Mick Brown who found the copies of Skippy Whites. It wasn't 30 copies, from memory it was around 16. Most had label damage and were the black label copies. We found other nice stuff much of it with lable damage including copies of Steve Mancha - Friday Night. We let most of them go to dealers and kept a few for sale ourselves. This was around 12/14 years ago. Incidentally Skippy was the producer on Frank Lynch - Young Girl 45. We wondered why there were loads of them- Monster Ballads Hiding On B-Sides Of Northern Classics
Like it Bob I'll go with this one from the COD's. A bit amateurish but thats what makes it for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy1lW8oVbm4- A Few Modern/crossover 45S Wanted Over Here
PM'd you Andy- Precisions On Drew Question
Thanks chaps. I remember (vaguely) being at a venue around 15 years ago looking through a sales box and saw a pretty poor copy of the Precisions. When I asked why it was in the box for so much in poor condition the seller said that it was a vinyl copy and much rarer. I was a bit sceptical but then a well known dealer came up picked the record out and bought it straight away. The reason I ask is that I just bought a spare from the US and the seller said he thought it was vinyl.- Precisions On Drew Question
In the dim and distant past I seem to recall being told that Such Misery came out on both Styrene and Vinyl pressings and that the Vinyl copy was much harder to locate. Could anyone confirm if this is right or wrong or am I completely talking out of my passage ? Thanks- New Year Sales - Some Bargins
Yes the Jaguars is a great tune spun out a few times by Frank I think some years back. Just right for nighters today I think Cheers- New Year Sales - Some Bargins

I'll have to play "Back in..." as I cant remember it.........doh !!!- Ebony's On Avis - Back In My Arms - I Can't Help
Nev That was the sixties version of "I can't " which is Ok but the 70's track is the one for me. Top quality tune.- Ebony's On Avis - Back In My Arms - I Can't Help
It depends on which one you want.... so be careful. Its on the same label and same number, but one release is actually "I cant help.." the sixties Northern sound, but there was also a release which said "I cant help.." which is a totally different record, more of a 70's crossover tune which is much rarer. Probably a pressing plant mistake which then got pulled. The 70's version is much better IMHO. Hope you get which one you want.- Musicor And Dynamo Unreleased 60S Soul...how Much Of It?
I may be having a senior moment here, but wasn't the Reactions - 'Live my life' supposed to have been issued on Dynamo ? I've only ever seen it on Sanfris so maybe no Dynamo release, or maybe it has and I've just not been paying attention 8-))- Jimmy Radcliffe - Long After Tonight - Musicor - Reissue - Urgent

I used to live in Dubai between 2005 and 2008 and I looked high and low for some northern / rare soul. I knew there were a few guys there who were into it via the gossip from friends of friends. There was also a guy bidding on ebay from Dubai. I still go to our office on business in Jebil Ali 3 or 4 times a year so I'll try and coincide with the soul nights at Wafi- Wants - Caesars, Sunny Turner
