I've never bid on any of the dealer auction sites, but would have thought that technology being what it is today, that the bid amount would automatically update when a new bid is entered ? I'm not familiar with Tims auctions but its not rocket science....any ISP/web designers would have this sort of application package available. Andy

Lets face it ...collecting records is about knowledge and information. If you know a good tune but can't get hold of it quickly, I've found a bit of patience and sitting tight until it appears on a list or evilbay is the best way . If you post it as a want on a site or send a wants list to a dealer you may as well broadcast it on News at 10. As others have said the net effect of doing this is that others, who perhaps dont know the record, then start to pursue it and those the have it want top dollar as they fear giving it away and watching it mushroom in value .

Object away ! In most cases I have looked at a selection of dealer lists / guides and priced the records below what the dealer is asking. There are always going to be descrepancies in some cases as there are examples where dealer prices vary substantially. If anyone is interested in an item and feel the price is slightly high they can always make me an offer
