  1. Bobby Patterson is a funny man, the amount of times I almost crashed the car in Dallas laughing at (or trying to figure out) what he was saying on his radio show as it played in the car.
  2. a couple of Atlantic + related things I had saved on photobucket
  3. very sad news, one of my favorite singers RIP:(
  4. quickly a few pics i had sitting around on photobucket
  5. hard to know where to start with this label + distributions
  6. some completed prices here: Willie Tee I'm Only A Man Seems to vary a bit
  7. that's actually a pretty nice sounding 45. I have never heard of it before though so can't help you with your questions. I guess you know the deal with the Century label already?
  8. Are these are the same recordings of "Yes I Cried"/"Mercy"? If I have one I don't need the other right?
  9. yeah, her LP is pretty strong from memory.
  10. Good common cheapie & genuinely issued as Debbie Taylor b/w The Hesitations, should run you $5 or so in the real world, probably a bit more online.
  11. Kris Holmes replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Yeah I have a really handy Willie Mitchell Best Of double LP on Motown.
  12. very much on a "pay to play" schedule these days
  13. I pulled runs of unplayed Pzazz stock out of Wisconsin of all places, don't underestimate the distro
  14. Does anyone actually have a copy of this which doesn't distort? I know that Jamie 45s are up there with US Sue as far as using crap quality vinyl, but I'm at around my 5th "Mint looking" copy & am about to give up because I can't seem to find one that's fileable
  15. i would just like to add that the Rolling Stone article is a bit of a joke, some of those stores aren't even the best record shops on the street, let alone, city, state or country. There are still plenty of records to find in the US if you put in the hours
  16. A Truman Thomas organ instrumental is the only 45 I have on this label, it's pretty cool though. I think I have a Jimmy McGriff LP too A label that I am desperately lacking in.
  17. for some people it obviously isn't the sound quality, it's the artifact.
  18. I thought this was a 45 where there aren't even that many in actual known existence? If so, be prepared to pay big if one comes up for sale.
  19. That Platters 45 ("Washed Ashore") had a vinyl New Zealand press on CBS which is pretty rare. Anyways, so much good stuff on these labels. The Inez & Charlie Foxx stuff for sure. Maskman & the Agents Lee Moses Jeannie Dee Marie Knight Raw Meat SOUL etc
  20. It has definitely been cherry picked many times & ain't worth what he's asking. He is in dreamland. Low to mid level titles for days.
  21. New Zealand press. This just came up on auction locally this week so I swiped the pic from there, hence the fuzziness. Not a common variation these days.
  22. tough work, but someone has to do it at some stage I guess. So are they all really well labelled/catalogued or is there still a fair bit of "what the hell is this"?
  23. How different would things have panned out if that plane crash had never happened....?? Blows my mind that he could have still been alive & performing. RIP Otis (& the Bar Kays) How cool was it going through the tape vault at Fame?? That sounds like it would have been an awesome day
