"And meanwhile my top want sits on Ebay unwatched and at $3........Happy days indeed" Sorry to go slightly off topic, but some guidance please. How can you tell that something on Ebay is unwatched? Or watched for that matter?

A Few Bargain Early/r&b Type 45S
Another small batch of early R&B type 45s. Selling individually as priced (plus add £1.20 for 1st class post). Discounts on multiples, or I will happily take £40 for the lot inc postage. Clips are not the actual records offered for sale. Paypal gift preferred. Thanks for looking folks. Lois Blaine — "Here Am I"Â (Open G) VG+ (vinyl — labels are trashed I'm afraid) £15 (storming R&B — goes for decent money in reasonable nick — labels on both sides of this copy are barely legible sadly, but the record plays absolutely fine) Wallace Brothers — "I'll Let Nothing Separate Me"Â (Sims) VG++ £10 (great, gritty, soulful group male, organ-driven dancer) https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/d/142789/WALLACE_BROTHERS Deena Johnson — "I'm A Sad Girl"Â (Simpson WD) — VG++ £15 (brilliant bouncy early Detroit — flip is a really nice atmospheric beat ballad) *****SOLD***** The Blendtones — "Come On Home"Â (Success) Ex (would be M- but for a mark on B side) £15 (great great finger-popping group dancer — bounces along) Junior Parker — "If You Don't Love Me"Â / "I Can't Forget About You"Â (Duke) Ex £10 (these are 2 really great mid-tempo R&B movers — lots of potential; clip is only of the "Forget"Â side, but the other is just as good if not better) https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/d/89393/PARKER,_JUNIOR The Hueys — "Coo Coo Over You"Â (Instant) VG++ £10 (great New Orleans growling mover — copy for sale looks considerably better than the clip) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M27oB1yRWEQ

El-Corals Band
Oddly enough, if you read the Pete Lawson "Gospel According to Dave Godin" magazine stuff from 1989, El Corels is mentioned as a newie and one which he is particularly enthusiastic about.

Budget Northern - Plenty Of Bargains In Here
Clips are not the actual items offered for sale. I will do deals on multiple purchases - on single items, they are fairly well discounted anyway.........Paypal gift preferred - please add £2 for UK recorded delivery (postage costs by agreement for overseas and mulitple purchases). Thanks for looking folks. Carol Jones — "Don't Destroy Me"Â / "Problem Child"Â (Mutt 27320) Ex (would be M but for one scratch on "PC"Â side DNAP — apart from that, a lovely looking record) £25 (this label number is the slightly slower, funkier version of Problem Child — not the one with strings though — great double-sided slab of gritty, funky soul; couldn't find a clip of this version.......DOH! The clip is of the correct version of "DDM"Â for sale) Ronny Shannon — "One Way Street"Â (Ston-Roc) Ex £15 (really, really nice mid-tempo Detroit) Tom & Jerrio — "Come On And Love Me"Â (ABC) VG++ £15 (nice Impressions style mid-tempo) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRG220OyYTY Maxine Davis — "Before I Leave You"Â (Guyden WD) VG (plays superb) £20 (sublimely good mid tempo — gorgeous vocals) ****SOLD**** Roddie Joy — "Walkin' Back"Â (Parkway) VG+ £15 (IMO, the better version — absolutely fabulous, sounds bloody great played out loud) https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/d/56294/JOY,_RODDIE James Crawford — "If You Don't Work You Can't Eat"Â (Mercury) Ex £10 (great soulful string driven version of James Brown's funk classic) *****SOLD***** Ruby & The Romantics — "Does He Really Care For Me"Â (Kapp) Ex- £15 (fabulously atmospheric Big City sound — all swirling strings, echoey brass and loud drums, magic!) *****SOLD**** Tony Talent — "Gotta Tell Somebody"Â (Vando WD) VG £15 (classic Northern oldie — this plays fine out loud; labels more or less the same as the copy in the clip) The Shirelles — "Look Away"Â (Scepter) M £15 (nice mid-paced 6ts dancer — has had action so I gather — company sleeve included) Newby & Johnson — "I Want To Give You My Everything"Â/"ÂSweet Happiness"Â (UK Mercury) Ex £15 (achingly lovely, soulful crossover — "SH"Â was a biggun at Wigan; no centre on this copy, like most) Queenie Lyons — "Drown In My Own Tears"Â (Deluxe demo) Ex- £15 (classic brass driven pounder — fantastic record and looks nice on a yellow demo, nice and bright, a small bit of ringwear - can't understand why this hasn't sold) *****SOLD***** James Phelps — "Don't Be A Cry Baby"Â (Fontana) VG+ (label a bit worn but vinyl plays mint) £15 (absolute bargain for this wonderful mid tempo tune — anyone tried the flip? Stonking, funky 60s Northern — includes a nice company sleeve) David "ËœKing' Thomas — "You Better Investigate"Â (Jetstream DJ) Ex £15 (really good version of the Major Lance classic — reckon this must sound fab out loud in a club) *****SOLD***** Faye Ross — "Faith, Hope & Trust"Â (Round) Ex £10 (pounding old-fashioned stomping oldie — great) *****SOLD***** Gwen & Ray — "Build Your House On A Strong Foundation"Â (Fee Bee 1975 pressing) Ex £10 (a true, true rarity on original; these boots are often confused for the real thing) Ollie Jackson — "The Day My Heart Stood Still"Â/"ÂGotta Wipe Away The Teardrops"Â (Magnum 70s pressing) Ex- £10 (not as rare as the Gwen & Ray, but a classic nonetheless)

Deloris Ealy - I've Been Looking (Velvet)
Nice one Dave! I reckon this record is set to have its day big time. Went down well when I played it at GoGo Children last month.
-
Deloris Ealy - I've Been Looking (Velvet)
Odd thing about those 2 recent Ebay offers though Greg is that the seller is using the same image and, although listed as 'E' condition, the label has writing and a fair bit of wear, which is why I wondered whether this was a relist (clearly not as our friend who started this thread bought the first one). We shall see.....................as you say though, 4k was crazy. Great record which could do well IMO.
-
Deloris Ealy - I've Been Looking (Velvet)
Dave Flynn's old Fran Oliver c/up from the Capitol Soul Club days. Not booted, not many about and not that well known or played out much, hence no real 'going rate' as such. Always wonder whether/who is sitting on a box load of records like this one though! The Ebay sale for a few grand a couple of months ago seems a bit of a one-off, though indicative of the interest in this record. There is one on Ebay now which is a relist from one which was on there a few weeks back (not clear whether it didn't make reserve or what?). Wondering how much your seller wants for it.............

Chicago Soul Monsters
Steelers looks a snip at £200. Absolutely top drawer.

60S Northern For Sale
Some more for sale. Mixed as usual - some quality, decent cheapies in here. Clips are not from the items offered for sale. Paypal gift preferred, please add £2 for UK recorded delivery. Thanks for looking. Renee Perri - "I Aim To Please" (Soulville WD) VG+ (labels Ex) £35 (superb brass driven pounding dancer, great vocals - bargain price) ****SOLD***** Junior Parker - "I Got Money" (Blue Rock) M £20 (used to call this 'Sam Dees part2' years back - great record IMO; sound clip is not the best at the start - intro is much better on the actual 45) *****SOLD***** 1984 Love Machine - "Your Breakin' My Heart" (Melon) Ex £70 (very atmospheric, moody niter sound - has had plays, but is not well known) H J Jackson & The Bootleggers - "Dance The Shing-A-Ling" / "Please Forgive Me" (Cross-Tone) VG++ (would be Ex but for 2 largish surface marks NAP) £25 (excellent double sider - June Jackson at his best; storming Northern dancer - check the clip- with an achingly brilliant mid tempo flip; this copy has an all-yellow label, unlike the clip) *****SOLD***** The Unluv'd - "Ain't Gonna Do You No Harm" / "An Exception To The Rule" (Parkway) M- £10 (superb version of the New Wanderers and a great dancer on the flip too - different labels to the clips) Dynamic Heartbeats - "It Ain't No Secret" / "Danger" (PS) VG++ £40 (brilliant group vocal dancer, both sides - been getting some attention lately) *****SOLD***** Queenie Lyons - "Drown In My Own Tears" (Deluxe demo) Ex- £20 (classic brass driven stomper - fantastic record and looks nice on a yellow demo - nice and bright, a little ringwear) Stu Gardner - "Expressin' My Love" (Chisa - red label issue) Ex- £15 (popular organ and brass driven mid tempo funky dancer - intensely soulful) The Marvellos - "Why Do You Want To Hurt The One Who Loves You" / "You're Such A Sweet Thing" (Loma) VG++ £15 (2 superb Temps/Miracles style group dancers - could only find a clip of "Sweet Thing" - other side is superb too though) https://www.raresoulm...58705/MARVELLOS Lilly Fields - "I've Been Discovered" (Spectrum WD) Ex £25 (only clip I could find - it is a very nice strings driven old-skool uptempo 60s dancer with a nice crossover flip) https://www.ebay.ca/i...m-/130704136092 https://www.raresoulm...50/FIELDS,_LILY

1984 Love Machine - "your Breakin' My Heart"
Thanks, I knew that was on JM's site but it's the wrong side. That's the psychedelic side "Magic Baby", not "Your Breakin' My Heart" (sic). It's that side I need. Best

1984 Love Machine - "your Breakin' My Heart"
Anybody out there have a soundclip of this record please? Thanks.

A Few To Go - Dream Merchants, Harold Melvin (Arctic), 1984 Love Machine
Hi All Got these for sale (rather reluctantly as I like them all, but there you go). Paypal gift preferred, please add £2 for UK recorded delivery. The clips are not the actual 45s offered for sale. Thanks for looking. Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes - "What Can A Man Do" (Arctic) Ex (very slight label wear - 'X' on B side) £50 (absolutely brilliant mid tempo, achingly good) *****SOLD***** The Dream Merchants - "Stop (You're Breaking My Heart)" (Renee WDJ) VG++ £60 (fabulous male group dancer - top drawer) *****SOLD***** 1984 Love Machine - "Your Breakin' My Heart" (Melon) Ex £70 (unfortunately I could not find a soundclip of this - only the B side, which is a fuzz guitar psychedelic thing; this is a moody atmospheric mid-tempo builder; apparently was a big spin for Shifty at the 100 Club some years back, certainly has a niter feel to it - superb record IMO)
