Record Packs-E-Bay-Is It Worth It?
I tend to sell small packs of 10 at a time as shipping form Canada is $20 so that has to be factored. Have been doing a few of garage/psych packs but still not very good results. International shipping increases will not help Last few have only met the minimum amount of $9.99

Book Prices?
Unfotunately more and more dealers in Canada have got their hands on Martin's books. I ploughed through a couple of 1000 45's at the Toronto show that always used to turn up the odd thing of interest. I was alarmed to see Northern Soul written on the sleeve and book price listed. When he stated he was surprised I did not find anything I casaully let him know he was never going to get those prices and as a dealer it was surely better to sell a 45 than have it sit in your box forever? The only other people at the show with a passing interest in Northern was Martin himself and Henry- wonder if they pay book price?

Please expand? I have the blue label Canadian release? Is this what you refer to? I assume the original was on the Red, White and Blue Tamla Motown label.

Just Arrived In The Post (Or Just Bought)
Just did a couple of Value Villages (huge supermarket sized second hand shops) and got these two: Mike McDonald - God Knows - RCA Last Fridays Fire - I Cant Help The Way I Feel - LHI - not soul, obviously left behind a load of standard Motown charters on Canadian as they are impossible to shift now Also found 3 Jackie Mittoo albums - well the covers anyway, all the records were the wrong ones.

What Do You Do With Your Record Collection, Play It Or Just Store It?
We moved house October 2010 and down sized 50% at least. We sold lots of furniture, bits and bobs as we did not have the room and I must have also cleaned out 3 -4000 45's, cheap Northern, Reggae, mainstream Soul. Used most of the money to help fund the reno we are doing but have also treated myself to some nice bits now and again. Never been one for albums but do have a box of stuff with un-issued Northern on them, Rufus Lumley, The Outsiders, The Tempests etc that I have managed to pick up reasonably cheaply at Record Shows. Probably only have 2-3000 45's now My problem is I cannot pass a cheap Northern or Motown 45 at a show so am always coming home with another copy of Winstons, Supremes, Flirtations etc etc etc but the bottom is falling right out of the cheaper stuff with the shipping costs from North America (but that is a separate subject). I know what 15000 looks like as I bought that many back in late 2009, I was exhausted by time I got them in the car (3 trips in a CRV), out of the car into the house, then into the record room. Absolutely great fun going up there every night with some wine, record cleaner and just playing through boxes of 45's of all genres, Country, Doo Wop, New Wave, Reggae, Rock and Roll, Canadian private press stuff . Down to the last 3 boxes of mainstream Soul stuff now - Stax, Atlantic, Philly etc etc

Canadian Soul 45S And Canadian Only Soul 45S
Theoretically Canadian should be rarer as the population difference is so vast, the population of Canada is still only around 35 million compared to the US - discuss.

Canadian Soul 45S And Canadian Only Soul 45S
You will have to excuse as I do not have a scanner. I also have a few Canadian only Soul 45's by Jackie Shane on Paragon, Frank Motley on Arc and also have the Jack Harden that was posted previously. I will add more as I can get to the boxes but here are half a dozen:

Canadian Soul 45S And Canadian Only Soul 45S
I have only found 3 Detroit 45's on the red Canadian Ric Tic label, in fact one went through ebay the other and sold for $8, sold by a local dealer, he also has a Little Charles up at the moment. All my 45's are boxed up at the moment so I am unable to add any scans. I will grab the stuff I have bought recently and see if there any Canadian 45's worth scanning.
