Warren's Wants No 750
Hiya 1st things 1st - Have you still got the Fontella Bass? Completely forgot to send the money to you again. Yeah the Gloria was on and I was the winning bidder at 2am Been after the Bonnie Brisker for a while but can't seem to find a clean copy - everyone I've seen recently has been VG+ at best. Not rare but most seem to have been trashed. Gasher: anymore thoughts on the Ronnie Warren Boogaloo

Motown 'b' Sides
Thanks to Martin (RBman) for pinpointing this thread. Look, if you like your Motown both classic and rare get your asses down to our monthly Motown bash where you'll hear all of the a and b sides listed in above. We're virtually the only regular Motown night in the UK and get a very friendly and appreciative crowd of soul fans attending. 'Nuff said', here are some of my favourite favourite 'b' sides. i've put the numbers for the british releases. Four tops 'Can't seem to get you out of my mind'. Haunting and b side to 'Do what you gottaa do' 710 Supremes 'You've been so wonderful to me'. B side of 'Some things you never get used to'. Stunning double sider that rarely gets played 662 Barbara Randolph 'You got me hurting all over'. B to the classic 'I got a feeling' and in my humble opinion one of the most spine tingling records ever made. 628 Supremes 'Going down for the third time'. B side heaven and I think the best record Diana and the girls ever produced. A side 'Reflections' number 616 Loads more that I could have put down. See ya Warren Boogaloo

Dj Cringe
I've enjoyed reading this thread so I thought I'd add a few of my own (explanations in brackets) What, is this an office party or what (no one's danced for three records) Here's a request from earlier (I'm the only one in the place who likes this record) Here's one that's getting played loads in Scotland (I know no one's been there to verify) Remember when that one used to tear up the floor at Wigan (no one danced to it) That really used to do the business at Yate (no one danced to that one either but at least i've been around) Well, if you clear the floor, it might as well be to a really classy record (no one danced to that one and now I'm getting desperate) Just a few more from me before I hand you over to .....(don't worry this hell will be over in 6 minutes) Regards Warren Boogaloo

Old Wigan Sound
Whaaaaat, I can't believe some of you don't rate this!!!!!!! An absolutely fabulous tune. Must admit tho' it does sound better played out than at home. Think it was more of a Yate biggie than Wigan but could be wrong. Warren Boogaloo

Warren's Wants No 763
A good point but I already have it so its not an issue. This must be the only record in Manships new edition that has gone down in price - must be a typo. Are there any more? Warren Boogaloo

Boogaloosoul Playlist 2nd July
Boogaloosoul playlist 2nd July A big thanks to Michele, Kev Moore and Trickster for sterling dj spots at Boogaloo last night. Compared to the last three months we had a relatively quiet night but managed to keep the floor pretty busy for most of the night. Also a big TA to Michele for the last 4 years of djing (this being her last stint at Boogaloo before her move North). Good luck to her and Jack and all the best in your new home and the new job. Even managed to get in a little tribute to Luther Vandross - passed away but his musical legacy lives on. Looking forward to our Motown night next week with guest dj Jo Wallace. Anyway, my plays for last night were: Bobby Taylor - Don't be afraid - Tamla LP Unique Blend - Yes, I'm in love - Eastbound Charles Sheffield - Voodo Working - Excello Hesitations - That's the way love is - Kapp LP Sam Chatman - Nobody but you - Boss Dee Dee Sharp - Deep dark secret - Cameo Dee Dee Sharp - Comin' home baby - Cameo LP Patti Austin - I've given all my love - Coral Ted Taylor - Somebody's always trying - Okeh Betty O'brien - She'll be gone - Liberty Poets - She blew a good thing - London Marvin and Tammi - Ain't no mountain high enough - Tamla Marvin Gaye - Lucky, lucky me - acetate Kim Weston - I'm still loving you - Tamla Rose Battiste - I miss my baby - Revilot Dena Barnes - If you ever walked out of my life - Inferno Luther - Don't wanna be a fool - Cotillion Luther - Jealousy - Cotillion LP Cory Blake - How can I go on without you - Capitol Collins and Collins - Top of the stairs - A & M Bobby Hutton - Come see about me - Philips Kenny Wells - Isn't it a shame - New Voice Esther Phillips - Just say goodbye - Atlantic Ruby Winters - Better - Diamond Jack Montgomery - Dear Beloved - Scepter Regards Warren Boogaloo

Ray Atib - Belgium
Hi Sounds like the Ray who was offering me records from my wants postings but seemed to disappear when I asked him for his telephone number so that I could hear them. 'Don't have one' was the reply, which was a bit confusing as he was using the internet to reply to me. Be afraid, be very afraid Your mate and financial counselor Warren Boogaloo

London Soul Events
The very one. Linda and I will be in attendance and in memory of dear, dear missing soulies, I will ask everyone to hold hands, bow heads and reflect on past transgressions. They will then be asked to hold their hands high in the air to thank the Lord and shout 'Hallelujah for our free 4th anniversary CD'. Warren Boogaloo
