  1. Pete/Mark: Thanks a lot!
  2. Downloaded it last night and as you said, fantastic quality. Wish all live tapes I have (WC, Stafford) had that quality. Any chance of a tracklisting, anyone? Would save time playing through the whole podcast if I want to pick out a certain track.
  3. Thanks for uncovering (seriously)! Played the audio file a few times, it sounded so familiar but couldn't place it. Now I know, I already have it, it's on the Bobby Patterson "matter of time" album
  4. perfect tempo for the Popcorn scene so it might be a biggie in Belgium?
  5. Quick Google search reveals it came out on issue and had spins all over Europe in the recent past. Joanie Sommers - Be my love /Why don't you do right - WB 23 released Oct 1960 Single sided demo might be very rare but 600 is taking the p*ss IMO.
  6. For Sale: THE SEVEN SOULS - I STILL LOVE YOU/I'M NO STRANGER - CBS (ITALY) with P/S! £200 SOLD Very rare original 60s italian issue, much hard to find than the US Okeh one. Record in very nice VG++/EX condition, sleeve sadly VG-/VG only one side cellotaped but nothing too serious, still a lovely item Payment Paypal only, no extra fees. Registered postage from Germany is £5.00 to Europe, tad less within Germany, tad more rest of world. Please PM me if interested. SCANS WILL BE ADDED TONIGHT!
  7. You've beaten me by a minute! Here's a scan of the picture cover for the italian EP, lifted from Chapter 5 page (see link) PS: Text lifted from Chapter 5 page: Below yet another Italian release of "You Can't Mean It" comes to light, circa 1967, on an EP with an other artist (Bobby Solo)under the name "John St John" rather than Chapter Five!!! Very strange, but good photo of John Ritson
  8. I'm sure they used other artists as well, just trying to think about where I had seen a scan of the EP before, it sure wasn't on Soul Source....
  9. I recall a discussion about the GTA Jukebox EP many moons ago but I don't remember any details. But I do remember that at least YCMI was on that EP and very likely credited to John St John. Origin was Italy.
  10. For sale: The Dynamics - Old shoes and rice / Uncle Willie - Saa-Cee 339 VG++ £75 Very obscure and rare transitional early 60s Soul/R&B double-sider. Check the soundclips! Record looks EX but due to low fi mastering plays with minor background crackle, hence grading. Payment Paypal only, no extra fees. Postage from Germany is £3.00 to Europe, tad less within Germany, tad more rest of world. Please PM me if interested. Dynamics - Old shoes.mp3 Dynamics - Uncle Willie.mp3
  11. This sounds like paragraph 1 in the 285 Ferenghi Rules of Acquisition but I'm afraid Soul Source isn't Star Trek. Too many rather dodgy things happened to me when buying on Soul Source I eventually don't really bother any longer. Being skint helps as well
  12. Why haven't you merged Mark Bicknell's and Neil Rushton's threads in the first place? Seems only logical to me to do that...
  13. I think, your post in the sales thread was just as unnecessary as asking for offers on a UK Action 45.
  14. Wanted: DENNIS WALKS - THE DRIFTER - GERMAN ARIOLA 14.419 Any playable condition considered! Willing to pay a reasonable price for it. Please PM me. Thanks! PS:I know Soul Source isn't really the appropriate place but you'll never know, strange things happen some times
  15. Wish I had known that when I went to Snowdonia a few years ago. Going through boxes and boxes of records much better than freezing my bum off while climbing the Snowdown horseshoe
  16. Three nice goodies for sale. Strict gradings! Postage is extra, payment Paypal only. Please PM me if interested, thanks! NO EXTRA PAYPAL FEES! GENE CHANDLER - MR BIG SHOT/I HATE TO BE THE ONE TO SAY - CONSTELLATION W/D £60 SOLD Genuine stamped white demo, lovely VG++ condition MICHAEL & RAYMOND - MAN WITHOUT A WOMAN - RCA W/D £75 Ever popular Detroit oldie. Minor surface noise 1-2 secs into the song, then it's a loud and clear VG++ condition. THE ENTERTAINERS - LOVE IN MY HEART - SYMBOL £60 Great lesser known oldie, seems to have increased in demand over the last months?. VG++/EX condition.
  17. Join the EURO-zone and it's free In Germany, bank transfer within EURO-zone is free of charge/fee. Bank transfers outside EURO-zone but within EU zone are 25 cents/transfer if transfer currency is Euro. If transfer currency is e.g. GBP there's a rather hefty fee (e.g. 50 quid for an 850 quid transfer)
  18. I don't think it had been booted, two different original presses more likely IMO. I mean, if it had been booted by e.g. Selectadisc wouldn't there be more copies around?
  19. Bit off topic, been a long time since I read the book or seen the movie (which itself is a rare occassion where the movie is just as good as the book) but isn't the cheating husbands collection made of UK rarities in the book and US rarities in the movie?
  20. Thanks for backing me up. Offered 2nd chance to 2nd highest bidder, I'll see what happens... And, no, I didn't edit the item description... BTW, 104 views and 3 replies, that's 0,0288 replies/view, can a reply/view quota get any lower?
  21. I sold a reissue copy of Bill Brandon "Streets got my lady" on Ebay last night. (see here) Now the winner is reluctant to pay as he allegedly didn't see the "reissue" bit in the item description before bidding and collects original 45s only. Quotes "Also the reissue status wasn't really upfront on the listing it was further into the text and I din't see it right away..Hence not noticing it until almost the end of the auction." and "That it was a reissue should really be higher up and part of the actual listing reather than down further in the text. That's really what caused me not to notice it." I don't think my item description was misleading in any way or that you could miss the "reissue" part. I mean it's even before the condition description. I sold all sorts of reissues on Ebay in the past and always used this type of item description as an template. Never had any problems at all. I'm sure I'll sort something out with the winner but was wondering what you think? Is it easy to overlook or easy to spot? TIA
  22. Think you're wrong. first post asks if IL or CC ever dj'd there.
