Help needed - identify these modern tunes
I was cleaning out an older external HD the other day and came across a folder with 60-ish unlabelled mp3 files of what appears to be modern soul classics transferred from audio tapes. With the great support of Chalky we managed to identify and label most of the files but 4 songs are left that we couldn't recognize for what it's worth. Can you help? I attached 60 sec audio clips of each song. Thanks a lot for your help! #12: #12.mp3 #32: #32.mp3 #33: #33.mp3 #34: #34.mp3

The Orlons Don't you want my Lovin GERMAN Cameo Parkway
As title says. With or without picture sleeve. Must be at least VG. Please pm. Many thanks!

7 Dwarfs - Stop Girl - Which Is The Bootleg?
From what I understand Cameo-Parkway Records was set up in 1963, hence (c) 1963. Before 1963 it was just Cameo Records.

Who is bricomaligno?
Does it really matter who he is? And if he owns all the records he posts vids of?

Anderson Brothers - I Can See Him Loving You
sorry for hijacking but this sounds very interesting. Am I right that you assume that 340 is some sort of customer ID used by the Oneida record plant? I just went through the Discogs list. Releases are right across the whole board of popular music. So I don't think 340 is linked to a specific client/customer. I guess this is just a sort of generic number used by Oneida. Maybe used each time a customer didn't want to have their names/addresses in the company's accounts?

Eula Cooper - Standing by love / I need you more - Note
EULA COOPER - STANDING BY LOVE / I NEED YOU MORE - NOTE (yellow issue) 100 GBP classic crossover side "standing by love" plays and looks a solid EX. Billy Sha Rae ~ I'm Gone ~ Spectrum
sorry, overlooked that. my bad. But I'm still convinced this is just a copy of the blue label re-release. Manship bootleg guide says the blue label one = second issue.

Billy Sha Rae ~ I'm Gone ~ Spectrum
How doesn't it marry up with this Discogs entry? https://www.discogs.com/de/release/6877236-Billy-Sha-Rae-Im-Gone-Lets-Do-It-Again it's the second issue/press, by the way.

Most common doubles and easy-to-find records (1973)
That's also my understanding. And would explain the 1.000's of old stock issues of Spyder Turner and very low number of DJ copies.

Kent Loma box set of singles (& a CD too): pre-release
Is there any way to hear that version of "You're turning"? Am very curious.

How about Edwin Starr on Ric-Tic? Stop her on sight or Agent-OO-Soul.

2022 - The Best Cuts
as already said before, the self-titled Thee Sacred Souls is marvelous. Some of the tracks had been released on 45 before. But my album-only top tip is "love comes easy". Fantastic. another 2022 album release which I wholeheartly recommend is Lady Wray "Queen alone". Not that much material dancefloor-wise. But many quality slower, mid-tempo, ballad-ish tunes. Check it out.

URGENT - No Paypal F&F to NEW Members!!!!
Discogs forum is full of threads about scammers using hacked abandoned accounts. People tend to wise up there. So these crooks are looking for alternatives now, e.g. Soul Source.

"Haunted places" in Scotland
We already covered that (e.g. Mary King's close etc) back in 2019. Forgot to mention it. Many thanks, will have a look at this today. No idea why Goggle didn't bring it up...

"Haunted places" in Scotland
I'm currently planning a trip to scotland in spring/summer 2023 with my family. My 13 year old son is very much into that haunted places/houses/castles thing. I googled a bit but for whatever reason it seems that there are hardly any scottish "haunted spots". Looks like it's mostly the english deceased that have issues with crossing over to the afterworld 😉 So my question is, does anyone have any recommendations to visit? Many thanks!

American soul artists w/ songs in different language
There are four 1960s Motown 45s with songs sung in german: Supremes - Jonny und Joe ("Come see about me") Supremes - Baby, Baby wo ist unsere Liebe ("Where did our love go") Marvin Gaye - Wie schön das ist ("How sweet it is") Temptations - Mein Girl ("My girl) Both Supremes 45s did sell quite well, or at least they are easy to pick up. Next they released the Temptations which flopped and is very hard to find for a reasonable price these days. Last Motown release sung in german was Marvin Gaye, which didn't really sell well but it's not that hard to pick up. Side note: Flip side to "Mein Girl" is a song called "Blue Bird" (also sung in german) which was written by two germans for this release so not a cover version as such. However a below average song. I have no idea where it was recorded. Probably in Detroit (imo)

Not sure about Gene McDaniels singing italian. But maybe you mean the italian cover of "Walk with a winner" by Leonardo, called "E Va, Se Hai Deciso"?

Motown did record a few of their big hits in Italian and German. Not sure but I think there were also French and Spanish versions.

Romanceers - any info?
guys, many thanks for your input! I think it's now safe to say the Romanceers were a studio outfit and they recorded specifically for Pickwick. As said before their recordings are pretty sparse on the orchestration side so I first thought the songs might have been demos. Now I think Pickwick simply tried to save money and hired just a few musicians instead of proper studio bands. They have three songs on the album, all were chart hits around that time, "walking in the rain with the one I love" (love unlimited), "You're the man" (M. Gaye) and "First time I ever saw your face" (R. Flack). I'm not really into the Gaye and Flack covers but the Love Unltd. one is great. I prefer it to the original version. The Chi-lites tracks are just the a- and b-sides of their 3 Blue Rock 45s.
