  1. All the dutch Tamla-Motown releases from the 60s on the orange label had big holes.
  2. List updated and Gerry Hayes added. YT vid below for reference only, not taken from actual record
  3. Bunch of original 60s/70s german releases. Sorry no scans at the moment. Scanner not working. Can supply pictures by request. All records VG+ or better. ALL RECORDS WITH ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVES AND £5 EACH! GERRY HAYES - SOULGIRL - VOGUE (NO SLEEVE) a really odd one. Stomping old school instrumental. Would have been perfect for the Twisted Wheel. German only release. Unfortunately no picture sleeve. 4. Big spin across Europe 10/15 years ago. Ok, maybe not all of Europe but I remember it from many german and italian dos.
  5. Both "Be Your baby" and "Yesterday is crowding my world" are on her "Lovely way to live" album on Decca. Unfortunately the album is pretty low fi pressed compared to the 45. Edit: Album easily available on Discogs (and cheap too). 45 also there (but not cheap)
  6. Don't want stop you guys discussing turntables. But just one little hint: It's weight/angle/quality of needle/stylus/tone arm that may cause damage to your beloved records. Not the turntable. I got a a 130 Euro turntable in my record room equipped with a Ortofon Red 2 cartridge, correct angle and correct weight set. Perfect.
  7. Flip of UK Liberty release is "Who could be loving you", excellent beat ballad. Only way to get this on 45 (LP-only rest of world). I only found out when I sold my UK Liberty after I got it on german Edit: I just saw Chris' post. Didn't know that. Sorry!
  8. Looking forward to the Munich gig. Never been a fan of Gospel. Let's see if you're gonna convert me
  9. Only way to ge the flipside on 45 might be reason for the finishing price?
  10. PM'd you re. A. Alexander
  11. THE MAJORS - IT ONLY HAPPENS (WHEN I LOOK AT YOU) - GERMAN MAGNET £30 Great Euro only version of Jackie Wilson. Nice picture sleeve for this hard to find german issue. This is £70 on some lists! PS VG+, record plays EX but has some hardly visible spots from being stored in a damp environment for some time. Does not affect play at all. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ worldwide P&P flatrate from Germany: £3.20 standard / £5.10 signed for / £7.00 Insured (Europe only) Clip not from actual record! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEwDCpYghR8
  12. And there's me having sold an italian John St John issue for less than 400 the other day
  13. I once asked Reggae legend Daver Barker to sign a record for me. Problem was, he used the same pen he just did to sign an album sleeve, a finger-thick felt pen and ruined the label. It now looks like a 3 year old scribbled on it. Many years ago I bought a copy of Mike & Ray on Giant, described as "heavy wol". Turned it it's signed by both of them. Apart from that I have three albums signed by Terry Callier. One of my alltime favourite singers. Still miss him....
  14. ok, will do the scan tonight.
  15. Have to correct my post regarding the german release.. Even though it says (c) 1973 on the label and the respective Discogs entry says 1973 too it came out in 1976 according to the cat. number.
  16. is the slower version online? I'd like to hear it as I only know the faster one (i.e. same as on golden SPQR) Or is the golden label one the slower one?
  17. Can do Pheasants on Throne. PM me specs and your email address, ok?
  18. Should have "Just ask me" on flip. Do you mean it's the same song, but different versions?
  19. Looking forward to getting my copy tomorrow. I just realized Lorraine's "lost without you" is the same song as Little Anthony and Teddy Randazzo. One of my alltime favourites. Great!
  20. You should have gone to Amsterdam or Berlin instead. It came out in Netherlands and Germany same time as US. For whatever reason UK issue was 3 years later. Probably when there was enough demand from the underground Soul scene. * NL issue was 1976, same as UK. US/Germany 1973
  21. I think it was covered by a retro-soul band a few years ago. Anyone confirm?
  22. Sorry, I don't know who he is. There's a german Ebay seller going by the name of freestylemaniac-records. Forgot his real name, but he's a 100% reliable bloke. 1,000's of pos feedback. But he mainly deals in 70s funk/soul and 80s boogie 12"/albums. Somehow hard to believe he's the Discogs bloke. Freestylemaniac-records is located in Stuttgart. Where's the Discogs one from?
  23. JACK HAMMER - SWIM - GERMAN VOGUE (w/ PS) £40 In-demand Mod dancer on the very rare german release. Sleeve VG+, record EX. Last copy on Soul Source went for £55! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ worldwide P&P flatrate from Germany: £3.20 standard / £5.10 signed for / £7.00 Insured (Europe only) Clip not from actual record! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWCGy6S1YN4&list=PL291A44C1BBBC7F45
  24. I have a sleeveless copy of Al Gardner - Sweet baby on french Googa Mooga. Can somebody help me out with good quality scans of both sides of the original picture sleeve? Thanks!
  25. Just to add a bit: album was bootlegged reissued. Late 90s/early 2Ks at a guess.
