  1. There RCA UK dubs of Tony Hestor. Same kind of dubs as the ones that made it on Grapevine eventually. Did RS play them off original acetates or of said dubs?
  2. Sorry, I don't like it. Mediocre and amateurish. Doesn't go anywhere. Not very talented singer and a rather dull backing. Wouldn't be surprised if this was very rare.
  3. new podcast for November "Sounds From The Shelter Vol. 11 - Even More 70s" To wrap up my "Play Box" series, November's podcast is the third and final installment of my 70's 45 goodies. Solid tunes from all parts of Soulful Seventies (and one or two from the 1980s). Plenty of alltime classics and a few lesser known/underplayed tracks. Hope you'll like this month's selection. Many firm favourites of mine that I'll never get tired of hearing like Family of Eve, Gino Washington or Jim Spencer. 1 * Family of Eve . Please be truthful . Full Sail 2 * Innersection . I'm in debt to you . Group 5 3 * Life . Tell me why . Reprise 4 * 24K Gold . What does the future hold . Desert Bone 5 * Horizon . They don't make them like you . AAA 6 * Oggletree Brothers . 4. Ah, Joey DeLorenzo! Fantastic Northern record to dance to.I love it and always will. Never went to the Dome myself but heard Flynny spinning it quite a few times all over Europe. Always filled the floor to capacity. I remember all those rumours and conspiracy theories flying around in Northern Soul internet back then. "Levine tailormade production", "recent press" etc. Best one was a guy who insisted it is an unissued Kevin Rowland cut from the Dexys days (tho it sounds a bit like him doesn't it?)
  5. OCD (Original CD only) question: I have volume 1 and 2 of "Prevue Soul on CD" from 1990/1991. Nice collections of new indie soul productions incl stuff like donald alber "hardes part" or brotherly love "whole lotta you in me". I'm thinking about selling them but was wondering, are they worth anything? Do people collect original CDs?

  9. Thanks, went down pretty well from what I remember. I wish it was my efficiency. Playlist came up in the Google search I did. I posted it on Soul Source 12 years ago.
  10. Nice one! Will I be hearing some of them in Leipzig in a few weeks?
  11. Funny, was going through my CDs last sunday and came across the 2001 and 2002 TOS CDs. I know I dj'd twice for you but couldn't remember the years. Quick google search revealed first time was august 2000. Here's what I played back then, very very happy days indeed! 14. You're sure the LP was first? I know both came out in 1986 but thought 45 was before album making it the very first vinyl appearance of Magic Touch.
  15. And the exact reason for not posting it in Comedy Sale of the Day but instead opening a seperate thread for it was...????
  16. THE PLATTERS - SHING-A-LING-A-LOO - CBS HOLLAND (VG+/VG++) £5 SOLD Brilliant dancer, tanken from the "Going back to Detroit" album. US 45 release on Musicor was withdrawn. Lovely picture sleeve (which is VG only I'm afraid) BILLIE DAVIS - I WANT YOU TO BE MY BABY - DECCA GERMANY (VG++) £5 Same song as Ellie Greenwich but not as frantic. £3.00 worldwide shipping! Paypal only, as gift prefered. Please PM if interested Thanks! Benji
