  1. Of course this has nth to do at all with the other residents of the Emerald City Soul Club. Especially Marc Fuller really tried his best to get this guy moving in the right direction. Marc
  2. What a big big disgrace and upset you are Kevin...owing a record for eight long weeks, not answering any mails, not answerring our pm`s, not to mention sending a refund, simply just nothing at all from you. Despite being online every second day. Having done a deal with you I must say will proof the deepest regret I will have to name for this year at new years eve. I know some other parties are still waiting for their order from this list to arrive and I know you told them the same lies as me. Oh well, you get yourself a nice new record form that 200 USD you stole of me. What I have learned from 2008 ? To avoid sellers I do not know from previous deals. All I can ay is to the people I know: Do not buy from Kevin Jones, resident DJ of the Emerald City Soul Club. Have a good one. Marc
  3. Don`t think Checkmate should be included, it did put out a lot early Detroit penned and even recorded stuff but not only and the label was based in Chicago. Marc
  4. Ah, yeah, know him. He`s doing an internet soul/funk radio show Marc
  5. Which German guy was that ?
  6. simply fantastic. Marc
  7. The Dynamics feat. The Royal Playboys
  8. The Detroit adress is on all 3 Freddy Butler 45s thats for sure
  9. Of course it is, even looks as if it was connected with SAMO Records...
  10. Well maybe its indeed just an overrated 800 UKP 45 then...and everybody who thinks its worth a grand or more must have lost his/her mind. To me its one of the best 45s to have come out of Detroit anyway still and if I would have to and would have the chance to I would easily pay more then 800 UKP. And I did...nine years ago. Still have not regret it I must say Marc
  11. Come on Benji, to defend all the popele who bought this 45 I must say that to think that one of the most wanted Detroit Norhern Soul (doublesider) 45s ever which also has proven to be extremely tough to get hold of for the last thirty odd years would be less then 800 UKP these days is not showing the biggest of them brains at all...but maybe you were just in your teasing state of mind again
  12. Here you go, you live and learn
  13. See, the prcie was right
  14. 7 years ago Irish Greg already advertised his copy at 1200 UKP...so the price tag of 50 UKP must be a bit older ? Anyway, even records like Otis Lee were 50 UKP once...and loads of other 45s that have seen an incrdeible price hike inbetween the last ten years. Marc
  15. which one now Jackey Beavers or Ree Flores ?
  16. Well, for as long as I can remember I haven`t seen a Ree Flores at Anglo`s or JM`s for sale. At least I can not remember having seen them and JM tells in his description its the first he had for sale in a decade. I have seen maybe three in private sales and there`s only one shown via popsike (2005..)... On the other hand I must have seen about up to 15 (its eleven alone on pospike) copies of JBs/Revilot in the last 4-5 years. So to answer your question I will pretty much stick with the price quotations from popsike on that one and would say about 1250+ UKP depending on condition etc. Maybe a bit less these days because of credit crunch etc. So it roughly sits where I would put Ree Flores value wise these days. The same price for a record you see way less often for sale compared to Jackey Beavers should be somehow about right. Especially as one -Jackey Beavers- is a (fantastic) oldie whereas the other one -Ree Flores- is an oldie but one with a with a current revival ? Marc
  17. Not a rare record only if one classifies also Jackey Beavers/Revilot as "not a rare" record though... in few collections ? Yes. Indemand ? Yes. For sale ? Very, very, very seldomly...
  18. It has been done grave.bmp
  19. Mine plays fine and is ready to go to a new home...
  20. Hi Richard, great to see you about again, hope your well mate. Yes, its a nice early doublesider...but to be honest nth too special. I checked at home again and its indeed from Ohio. Marc
  21. I am afraid it will go for more...think someone on here had one for sale for about 1500 UKP ? Anyway, like both versions but also think the Ree Flores is slightly better..
  22. True, there are also (later?) releases with a NYC adress though. Marc
