  2. Wow, I started playing this little gem when it still was a 10 UKP or 10 USD 45 last summer...should have tugged away some copies back then me thinks....
  3. Hi Richie, I have the LP had it long before I got hold of the Resist45...and I personally don`t think its shite...its different, but sth special in its own way. The LP also features the flipside of his two 45s btw...so there are three versions all together of "I´ll Be Waiting"
  4. No Doc, only way is the original 45.
  5. Hi, I saw this https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1 and wonder is it really worth so much (cause when I first asked about this several years ago no one seemed to know it at all)..so I am just very very curious (again). TIA Marc
  6. Not an expert and not a dealer but 250 UKP should be about right.
  7. Sorted, many thanks.
  8. about 150 UKP...theres an interesting artivcle about this 45 and others out of the Steel City in the latest "Theres The Beat" fanzine. Recommended lecture.
  9. Rex Garvin You don't need no help....but I need (your) help in finding this. Anyone with a decent copy ? Please pm me, many thanks Marc
  10. If anyone has one copy in m- condition for sale, please let me know (with price). Many thanks Marc

  12. Being the man who organized this in 1990 I must say you are right in some aspect..it really was not too succesfull...but not really a "flop"..I had 300 in on friday and about 250 in on saturday...not bad for the very first internional German Soulweekender BUT The hall was buzild to hold up to 2000 people On the other hand back in the days we organized monthly allnighters (again with Gary Spencer, carl fortnum and Jon Buck being amongst our Guest DJ`s) which had 1000 people in. This was Berlin 1987 to 1990/1.... And yes I still do the Hip City on a regular basis with the best international Rare Soul DJ`s one can imagine...next one will be in may 5th with Martin Walgenbach and Oguzahn Celik and the big 17th anniversary party with Butch on July 14th...feel free to check my myspace...
  13. firm Hip City fave...I am sure Franz did play it out when you were there (as I am not allowed to play it )

  16. Oh, what a great 45..his best IMHO and one of the harder ones on MT. A current firm Berlin favourite
  17. I am sure you wouldn`t if you would knew what the owner of said record wanted to have for his 45 actually...way more than 2680..
  18. Many thanks Bjorn, good luck for the winner(s) I was having a work date not permitting me to bid further more
  19. Can any friendly Soul please tell me what these two finally went for tonight ? TIA, Marc
  20. HI Richie, I will...although I am afraid he won`t have many use for this message as it was the two of us discussing this...Hahaha...Ellipsis...YES ... !
  21. I have an original Jobete acetate of this by Brenda and must say that this version really has sth. Sadly condition ain`t too good on my original acetate so I won`t be able to play it out. Re Eric Mercury...last one on ebay went for slightly over 3000 USD. Great 45. Where is my copy
  22. I seem to remember they were from NOLA and moved to California as so many other artists (on Pzazz) as well. Most of them were somehow related withthe AFO group of labels and the whole Dover group after their demise. Marc
  23. I once had nect to "HRTH" another Quaint 45 by Otis Lee (blue label). Think it resides with Andy Dyson now. If that is the tune you are on about it is a decent ballad (both siedes) but nth to get over excited about. Marc
