  1. I've got a copy somewhere, I'll dig it out later and post it up.. Greg.
  2. How much does the Gold label issue go for now? TIA
  3. Didn't Butch play this in the late eighties?
  4. Brilliant tune Tony.. A little bit of a neglected gem.
  5. These boys appear to be from Stoke so they need a break Chalky ;-) The band don't sound too bad either - a bit like the Medway Sound from the early to mid eighties.. Good luck chaps.

Didn't want to say anythng too soon on prices being good in case someone got a little miffed but.. Some very nice prices here Kieran, The Versatile Gents being my pick ;-) ATB Greg.
  7. As noted this was never issued. There are a few boots and the version credited to the Detoit Prophets on Soul Beat For more info check this previous thread ATB Greg.
  8. List away Kieran, it's an open market so get listing. The only no no is to refer to the other seller's item in comparison to your own. It's very gentlemenly of you to even ask btw!

"Barbara Lynn - Moving On A Groove - Jet Stream 829 - M- 150" Very reasonable price for somebody on that one Paul.. ATB Greg.

Got to be a carver. Hope you didn't pay too much for it.
  11. Really nice record Ste and not easy to pick up a clean copy
  12. Seb, this is one of the better counterfeits but the deadwax info for the vinyl boots is the best way to check your copy. I had a vinyl copy, along with a styrene copy, for years until I found out my vinyl copy didn't have the 'right' deadwax info. So to be safe on this one stick to styrene
  13. Superb and a hell of a lot easier to find, for now, on the Volt demo than either issue featuring 'Can You Win'...
  14. I'm pretty sure the original styrene issue also has the title as "LITTLE TOGETHERNESS" no "a" in it . I don't believe the vinyl copies, counterfeit or original, use this title.

Looks like this person has either hit financial embarassment, is a robbing t**t or both and decided to keep his paypal account and the linked bank account as empty as possible - probably why you've only got a partial refund of the scraps left in paypal.. Room 101 for this joker..
  16. Seen it now, probably won't watch it again.. Just didn't set my pulse racing as I'd hoped. The actors, in the main, did their best with the material - especially the female cast - but plot and particularly sub-plot had more holes than me mum's culinder. Another OMG point was the fact that the lead character kept walking from or to Wigan from Stoke - now the billy might have been good but not that good. And just to clarify, not everbody from Stoke lives in a pottery kiln ;-) As for the dance off as the way two guys settle an argument over a girl and turf - please help me but I've never inhabited that particular planet. IMO the clips from the Casino from the This is England documentary stuck out like a sore thumb in terms of authenticity - like Jessica Rabbit dancing with Bob Hoskins! Apologies if a frank and honest opinion doesn't suit others but there you go - freedom of expression in action. An average at best attempt at a coming of age story, whatever the backdrop, but a Quadrophenia for the Soul scene it's not.
  17. Exactly my point above Pete.. Maybe my original request to let the fox see the rabbit wasn't quite clear enough. As to point out some mystical sale that's half the asking price of the original post isn't cricket imho
  18. Relatively rare Dave, relatively. It's certainly not a rare record in comparison with the rarified and heady heights that some can aspire to, but it is for your average joe collector. There are very few people able, or willing, to pay the prices that truly rare records command, although at times the purchase and sale of 1k records would appear normal practice. I still don't see many NM copies of this going for less than £150 - rare or not ATB Greg.
  19. Too true Ted, some absolute shite that's 'en vogue' becomes ridiculously priced in no time.. But this tune has stayed relatively rare unlike many others so not a flash in the pan tune and, as I said, a quality production. If you sold a clean copy for £75 somebody had a result
  20. Current value is about $200 as John demonstrates with his latest purchase.. It's a good tune with one of the best looking labels around but not as popular as it was. I still rate it but that's neither here nor there ;-)

For 12 quid you get a great Funk number on one side and a great version of a multi thousand dollar tune on the other.. Cheap as frites Steve.. ATB G.
  22. Seb, I thought the 'Lady In Red' was a Chris de Burgh copy for that much money.. Very well priced at £15.. ATB G.
  23. That's a fair price for a great tune especially on the vinyl issue.. And Flynny a very reputable seller.. ATB G.
  24. It's been common practice for a few years with ipod add-ons.. However, you're right Paul in that it's legality, i.e. transmitting over an FM channel without a license in the UK, is a bit of a grey area. I suppose it's the nature of the transmission that would be judged. If it's for personal home use, as would 'normally' be the case, then it may well be permissible - but if it was used to broadcast publicly there may be licensing issues.

It's still available on 7" but I reckon the 12" is worth about £20.. Is the 12" flip the same as the 7" "I Can't Keep From Cryin' Sometimes" ? That's my prefered side.
