RICHARD KNIGHT - SHOW STOPPER - ALLEN - Here you go.. For those of you who already know this where's it been hiding and for everybody else it's now in refo. So, get yer chops round this. This is one storming, energetic dancer from Richard Knight, formerly of the Knight Brothers. A new one to me, a fellow SS member put me on to this recently and I like it more every time I hear it. Kick ass funky soul. Nice! Regards, Greg.

That's my kind of tune Baz. Nice. I'm going to post up a clip of the Richard Knight "Show Stopper" track that's in the same funk edged soul vein - not in refo currently. Also Like that Superlatives "Come On Down To The Ghetto" - I'd never thought to flip this before. ATB Greg.
  3. Thanks Sebastian, I couldn't find any info on a US release only the UK demo. Do you know if the cut is the same on the US and UK releases and indeed the "I'm On My Way" LP version? Thanks Greg.
  4. Agree with you entirely Sean mate. When I heard it I couldn't believe I'd missed it until now - brilliant vocals and so soulful.. ATB Greg.
  5. Hi All, Stumbled on this tune - Jackie Moore - Do Ya' Got What It Takes - CBS. I don't know much about it other than I like it. I was wondering if some of the sage cats on this forum can provide some background info. In particular, is the 45 version different to the LP cut, was there a US 45 release and, as I'm an anti-social type and wouldn't have a clue, is it a track that is ever played out? Rarity or the opposite would be interesting also. Any other nuggets appreciated. Thanks in advance... Greg.
  6. Flanny PM sent mate Cheers Greg.

And another one Jez, an all time favourite of that album - not a tip just a beautiful tune - "Ain't No Big Thing"
  9. Hi, Help required please with this nice little tune.. Looking for nice clean EX+/NM only copy of the following: Hollywood Flames - Every Day Every Way - Atco 6155 Please state condition of the label and vinyl - any marks, wear etc... Fast payment via Paypal for the right item. Please PM replies or Email: hotwire747-clearvinyl@yahoo.co.uk Thanks in advance...
  10. Agree with Steve, this is the copy to own. It's an all time classic double sider that never ages for me. Good luck. ATB Greg.
  11. It's not a big secret Pikey mate. There were 20+ watchers yesterday, it was listed in the Collectors Weekly mailing list, it's got over 8 days to go and it's not the kind of record when listed properly, as this copy is, that slips under the radar. I'm also looking to bag one but there you go. The Tony Gala is a repro and isn't clearly listed as such so somebody might just get stopped from a good spanking on that one. Apologies if I pissed in your soup but it was done with the best of intentions. Regards, Greg.

Nothing new - but tunes that sound right for now and relatively unknown/underplyed: Richard Knight - Show Stopper - AllenAuditions - Get Set, Be Ready - FrecklesSonny Dave Daye - Merry Go Round - Ring O Regards, Greg.
  13. Thanks Gents, I didn't think the Natural Four had been repro'd but with the guy stating 'NEW' wanted a second opinion. The Tony Gala is IMO, as Pete points, the first boot, black tect on a yellow label whereas the original is an inky blue on yellow lable for the issue. ATB Greg.
  14. Hi & Happy New Year, In the interest of 'consumer protection' I thought I'd ask for some info and a second opinion. I've been scanning the Bay and came across these two classic items with low current prices but high watch counts. As far as I can see, unless the camera lies as it sometimes does, the Tony Galla looks like a repro and the Natural Four states 'NEW' although it's in a period ABC records sleeve. I know the Tony Galla's been booted but have I missed a Natural Four repro? Confirmation and/or info appreciated. See the links below for the items. 15. The US Columbia release is attached, and as was mentioned above, it has a 'live' feel with that harmonica and in your face drums but is a studio cut. I'm not sure if the Action cut mentioned, the French Columbia release or the album version are different, but for me this version has the impact and immediacy required. Nice. Regards, Greg. CHAMBERS BROTHERS - I CAN'T STAND IT - COLUMBIA - --------------------------------------------------------
  16. It's a tune that fits many types of venue and is definitely something that could pick up in value with more exposure. Not sure what exposure it has in mainland Europe, but it seems well suited to that 'scene' in particular. I like it alot. ATB Greg..

Paul, Nothing wrong with a bit of marketing mate. Best of luck with it - nice tune! Regards, Greg.
  18. Just a cautionary note; as soulman says the Prix stuff 'was' genuine. If you see my earlier post in this thread even that is suspect now - see the boot of Eddie Ray they are currently offering. Regards, Greg.
  19. Hi Mal There is at least a demo version of the track on 45. The 45 is I know of is on Columbia "I Can't Stand It / Please Don't Leave Me" The release # is 4-44080. I've never heard the album version so can't help with that bit. ATB Greg

I don't think any system needs to be over complicated - just needs to focus on two key elements service (i.e. communication, speed, quality packaging etc) and the item sold (item is what it's meant to be and graded fairly etc) As Nev points out, for balance it could also include a similar scale for a member's behaviour as a buyer.. Regards.
  23. I just checked it out and the 'alt take' is definitely a boot. He was selling originals earlier in the year. Seems he's run out of his stash of originals, realises its a popular tune and got some 'alt take' cuts pressed up For clarity, the labels on the 'mischino' ebay boot are clearly different from the original. The one on the left is the original. ATB Greg
