Hello everyone, Ronnie McNeir - Sitting In My Class / Isn't She A Pretty Girl - De-To No question, John
  2. How about HORACE WILLIAMS & CHOKER CAMBELL - I'M GOING CHRISTMAS SHOPPING ( MAGIC CITY ) great tune. John.
  3. Probably not as good as the Motown design but always loved the SURESHOT label. John.
  4. Hello CoCo & Ben went for £1322 i think. Great record. What's the price of any previous ones ? John
  5. Hello Jordirip, Can remember questioning this myself and being told from folks who knew light blue is the original. Not sure but isn't the dark blue a different take ? John.
  6. Hello Hippo, Probably not any help but, remember seeing it 4 or 5 times on the lists i was getting around 10 years ago, around £50 i think then ? John.
  7. Already wrote this on another site, was told years ago the light blue is the original. Can't remember exactly who told me. John.
  8. Hello Leolyxxx Do actually like Veda , great record, it's just that i can remember it on nearly every list i received through the post at one stage for £5, it was like they couldn't shift it. Did someone start playing it ? John.
  9. Hello RichS The reason i said i could understand collectors paying for top end 45's like The Cavaliers is obvious, as a record like this is not going to come on the market very often. Whether you or i think it's crap has nothing to do with it. Plenty of great cheap records & expensive crap ones, always has been, but this is personal taste. Veda & Ujima are obviously nowhere near as scarce. Surely this doesn't need explaining. Yes 2 and a haif grand is alot of money i couldn't afford it. John.
  10. Been off the scene a few years and record prices have shot up again. I can understand people paying big money for Cavaliers and other top end 45's if they want them bad enough, but Veda & Ujima i can't get my head around.
  11. Great Topic - Just love those Detroit tunes. Hesitations for me although they are all great. Think i prefer the Four Voices although when i was collecting, ( 10-15 years ago ) because i could'nt get a Chuck Holiday i did won't one more. Another Four Voices 45 i own ' Summer Kind Of Love ' - What does this fetch now ? Another Detroit Dilemma The Platters ' I Can't Get Used To Sharing You ' Lp track or The Stepstones ' Lonely One ' Has to be The Platters for me. John.

Reply to Matt & Wendy Matt don't know the record you mention, but all the DFA stuff i've heard is good, i also brought Floetry 'Getting Late' DFA a little while back. Wendy you seem to know alot more about Dimitri from Paris than i do, but 'strong man' is a good record, also Next Evidence 'Morning Breeze' from a little while back had a good Dimitri Remix on it.

Two of the best i've heard this year: Dimitri from Paris 'Strong Man' feat. Omar Simon Grey feat. Abbey Joyce 'Prophecy' also Joe 'More & More' DFA sounds great. Too add my opinion.
