The most hated song on the scene. Is this it?
Going back to my youth two that I loathed would be, doug backs-kept on dancing, and Howard guyton- I watched you slowly slip,. I don't mind either nowadays as both are only heard occasionally, mid 8ts however they were absolutely hammered. the worst sound from that era would have to be that instrumental version of Frank will wilson, that somebody knocked up on a bontempi organ. The anyone remember it? Can't find it on tube but used to have the it on a tape.

The most hated song on the scene. Is this it?
Saw her myself lf about 29 years ago, her voice is knackered but her heart and skill as an entertainer allow her to carry off, still made me cry when she sung 'no one there'

The most hated song on the scene. Is this it?
Martha really couldn't sing, but on some tunes she can just about carry it.

All the acetates look cosha, could the ordinals be a Canadian issue? The Larry Williams is a little dodge, never seen a vinyl pressed okeh before , but I know nowt.

I'd say, realistically both lp and 45"s on original formats are accepted. But 45"s are generally more desirble: there louder and more convient to play as well as just being collectable.

At least we agree about one thing mate, Hurst is an insult to artists.

so the most collectable and highly valued 'Warhols's' are his prints, which is the point I was making. Think its fair to say he's most famous for his print work as well.

Andy Warhol was primarly a print maker! and did very little painting, so pretty much all of the warhol's in Galleries are prints, LOL.

Really don't think you do get, what many mean on here mean, in relation to collecting. It's about chasing sounds, for what's in the grooves, not because it's on a UK demo. Looking for something that's not known to many, invariably comes in its original format. At has always been about chasing cool, and unknown records, to cherish and hopefully share, that's what had driven up till it's death a few years back, I say that last bit with tongue firmly in cheek, the scene's epitaph has yet to be written.

Haven’t heard this for years!
Remember getting the pressing in the eighties, probably from robs smiths 50p box and thinking wtf has this got to do with Northern soul, a sentiment I still agree with, tis truly awful.

Nolan porter- if only I could be sure
You didn't say that too me when you sold me a copy in aflex rod😊. If you you had a mint demo of 'You don't want me no more" for the same price, I was uming and ring over. I've had loads of chances to get Nolan since but Mr Lance has since shot out of my reach. I quite like Three Dog Night anyway. 😁

Who Bought Kenny Burrell's Frank Wilson ?
Er, just like the art world, them. 😵

Nolan porter- if only I could be sure
The reason I asked, it was requested at a local soul night I did last week and it's a massive record at these kind of do's to this day, as our a few others that weren't massive at the big three venues. Unfortunately 'tribute' falls into that category too. 😂

Nolan porter- if only I could be sure
I'm sue it was known as a new release by avent soul collectors but did it get played at any major venue. Its not that common on probe is it?
-
Nolan porter- if only I could be sure
Just wondered, when where and who played this track first. I can remember it being massive around the milleniun but don't recall it as a known tune in the eighties.

Sad News Paul Trouble Anderson Passed Away
Gutted by this news. I was wondering how he was doing, and having heard he was ill a few years back. Had the pleasure of seeing him djing at Hq in the mid nineties, he was shit hot technically and with a taste and insight to be rivaled by only the American originators. Sadly at the moment he contribution is understated.
