Now you mention it there may have been a Belgium boot of this ....but I might be thinking of Sylvia Robbins? Anyone? The reason I mentioned Fingers copy was that the SUE logo under the lines to the left side of the label is usually in a 'Script' font, don't think I've ever seen one in the bold font as on Fingers scan? Doubt this is a boot....but just thought it looked odd without the script logo.

Bet he did a mighty fine jig around his living room last week when the FW auction ended P.S. Des Parker doesn't dance cus its like Mario-Karts on the dancefloor when he does.

My all time favourite singer. An interesting and informative doc, especially when he decribed how he 'acquired' his trademark 'growl' by learning to tilt his head sideways and somehow restrict his airflow in his throat. We saw his at Manchester (Nynex Arena) many years back supporting Van Morrison, he was very good but had some problems with his voice or throat, cuz every 10 mins or so he would let out this huge 'bark like cough', sometimes mid-song.....

Give over.... You got to remember I've heard lots of stories about your grubby past.... so it wouldn't surprise me if you turned a blind eye to SHE being a HE on more than one occasion

I have it from high authority that this is not an R&B record, but a Northern Soul record. Ray Agee apparently woke up one fine sunny morning and decided he would hoppity skip to the recording studios and make his first and last Northern Soul record (before this scene of ours had even evolved). So please do not include this in your dirty lists of R&B records. It is not one and should never be tainted or labelled as such...

This is a different Shorty Long to the one who recorded on Soul mate....

I've got a great version by Gene Thompson and the Counts on Ace (blue label)....believe it was one, if not the last release for the Ace label Credited as written by The Counts .....
