Sorry Karen, no I haven't.... I missed out on one on ebay about a year back (posted thread up on SS at time as it was on a different label and I had never seen the other label release before) It went well cheap as well.....

You women, always the same when you go shopping. Find what you want, but then have to trawl all over the shops for ages looking for a bargain before going back to buy the first one you saw after all.........next you'll be looking for shoes to match the label colour....then handbags to match the shoes, then nail varnish to match the handbag.....

Just spoke to a good friend of the victim in this incident to make him aware that this thread has appeared. Apparently this issue has been resolved and put to bed by both parties involved so can this thread please be closed by the original poster or a moderator as it can only stir matters up.

Although your intentions are probably well meaning, through pure frustration and anger over this incident, I hope the victim involved is aware of you posting this on here. If it's who I think it is, then I'm led to believe that he has pretty much kept this too himself for personal reasons, and as it was a few weeks back he may not appreciate the issue being posted up on here. Just a thought like............

No discount in room hire mate - in fact it's gone up! They have been telling us for the last 12 months or more that this is coming into place in April so I can't really argue about booking without prior knowledge. Alsager is right on the border of Staffordshire and Cheshire, and has a ST postcode with post being sorted at Kidsgrove Stoke sorting office, but has an 01270 (Crewe, Cheshire) phone code, and unfortunately comes under Congleton Borough Council (also Cheshire). I do expect a downturn in numbers, but then again, there's nowhere in near distance that put's on as good a soul night as us at Alsager, so can't see where they will go

The problem with this will be the noise caused by people going in and out of the club for a smoke, both from the music and groups of people talking whilst smoking. In the middle of summer, with bedroom windows open on warm nights noise can soon travel very easily, and you may find some allnighters/late finishing events facing disturbance complaints from local residents. Another issue will be litter from fag ends outside premises. Not sure whose resposibility it will be to put smoke/fag bins outside venues, but bet it gets overlooked, and if litter gets dropped into smoke bins from passing food take-away customers and the likes how long before such bins end up going up in flames (seen it happen in a club once from a crisp wrapper in a smoke bin)

Congleton Borough Council are implementing No Smoking on all council venues fron April 1st 2006 (a blanket ban on the whole premises) Alsager Civic therefore has 2 more events before the smoking ban comes into force, and we have an event at Sandbach Town Hall on April 21st this year that will also be no smoking. Over the last few months I have been taking notice of how many attendees actually smoke at Alsager, and the amount of full ashtrays at the end of the night, and it seems a lot less than I expected...but time will tell, and as our venue will be a guinea pig for this I will let you know how we cope. People will still want to go out and socialise, so when the ban comes into force everywhere next year, they will not be able to choose.....though Alsager Civic may suffer due to Congleton Council bringing the rule in a year early. Stoke Council were supposedly bringing No smoking in as of Jan 1st this year but have apparently now put it back to 2007 due to problems with pre-bookings for weddings etc in certain venues being made before the council announced its plans late last year. As I said, time will tell.............................

Think I'll make some of these using Goldmine Sevens with photocopy labels...got a top notch colour photocopier/printer at work....could make a fortune (though I won't make more than 5 of each, honest )

You have to add the channel to you existing choices. Go here to do it, then follow instructions. https://www.vowles-home.demon.co.uk/Sat/SkyITV.htm 2 yorkshire channels on there so chose both as added options. Click on other channels when finished and you can select the one you want to watch. Regards Mace.
