I don't get to Nighters quite as often as i would like to these days, due to working abroad, but when i do go out, i quite often hear things i don't know, that i'm personally not keen on, but ya know what, on the whole i can appreciate why others might like them, so i feel blessed that someone is still out there digging deep & pushing the bar...on balance i hear far more things i do like, so on that basis keep on digging & having the bollox to play em out.... Whilst its been 'known' for years, it was Marco Santucci that really started giving it a push, its the funkyness of this particualar take that has endeared it to the dancers in the last couple of years...i like all the versions, but this particualar take is the best for current dancefloors & tastes...love it !!! All you need to do is guess who is providing the research & then all becomes clear, I'm not certain by any means, but its a pretty good bet....history has & is being re written, via the media & aimed at the lowest common denominator, the nostalgia oldies crowd, its all about the soul $$$...... I think we all need to get over it & face up to the fact that there are, were & always have been those that would sell thier soul to the devil for a quick buck, loved the film...but TBH all the other stuff with a few exceptions, is just corporate soul. My WD was £250 in the early 9ts...like David quite rightly states many have a slight hiss through out, which doesnt seem to reproduce over a big system...brilliant record that i cherish & never tire of it.... Best Russ
