Is It Me Or Do Many New 45's/reissues Sound Awful : Digital Recording To Blame?
I have had a similiar experience with the Tom Moulton "Philly Regrooved" Cd's. They really do add a new dimension to the music. Those CD's are so good that I have given up playing a lot of my original Philly Groove 45's. The same can be said of the deluxe double CD re-issue of the "My Generation" , LP. The clarity on this is incredible and again, my original vinyl just can't compete. Finally, hats of to those wonderful people at Ace/Kent who took the time and effort to re-release (remaster?) the incredible "Gone with the wind (is my love)", both sides of that 45' are a masterclass in how to do it properly. best, Dave

Forgot How To Add A Sound Player To Ebay
Hi Pete. The dropbox idea still works but I've never used it on e-bay. For e-bay I upload sound and images to my personal webspace (my account is so old I still have that feature) and include the links for sound and images in the code. Best, Dave

You can always try dropbox via it's 'public' folder. That's what I use for sharing music. Dave

Chosen Few - Birth Of A Playboy - Maple
That's the same as my copy which I got in a soul pack circa 1987. It used to be everywhere for a few quid then. Someone obviously imported a load of mint promos. Wasn't it around the same time Rudy Love's "suffering wrath" came into the country on the same label?? Wish i had picked up one of those at the time. Dave.

Johnny Robinson - Gone But Not Forgotten
Great flip alright. Apparently "I need your love so bad" is very in demand with deep soul collectors.

Dionne Warwick - This Empty Place Uk Stateside
Version by the Tangeers is phenomenal as well Dave

Soul Majestics - Missing You / I Done Told You Baby
Thanks for the info Boba. Now I know why 'Al- Tog' gets a credit on "I don't want to lose you" by the Scott Bros Orchestra. I always thought it was someone's name. I rate "missing you" very highly, brilliant slow builder ;every home should have a copy. Dave

Is George Kerr King Of The Recyclers
I always liked the way Mr Kerr recycled the strings on the intro to these two tracks: Dave

Thanks Pete. I'm off to get my dunces cap fitted.

Made An Offer On A Record, Told To Buy A Reissue On Gemm
This is probably a silly question Pete. Why is the 'Big T' issue relatively cheap if it's the first UK release of the record? Dave

Made An Offer On A Record, Told To Buy A Reissue On Gemm
I agree that $25 is a bit on the low side, but the condition is VG/VG+. Maybe the seller should have been prepared to haggle. Dave

Info Needed On Smokey Robinson Track
That looks like the one Andy. The title definitely rings a bell and the date is about right as well. I assume it's a one off acetate? Thanks, Dave.

Info Needed On Smokey Robinson Track
Thanks Chalky. I think the title may be "wings & halos" and it sounded like a 70's track from his solo period. Dave

Info Needed On Smokey Robinson Track
"Flower Girl" is not the track I'm referring to unfortunately. I have a feeling it's an unreleased one as I used to have it back in the 80's on a John Manship Unissued Motown tape along with the likes of Tommy Good "I've got to get away" and "Lonely Boy" Thanks for the input so far, it is ALL appreciated. Made An Offer On A Record, Told To Buy A Reissue On Gemm
Because his starting price is too high Pete. If he needed to sell the record it would be much lower, especially considering the condition of the record, which realistically is worth about £40 in clean condition. Referring to Popsike, with all its shortcomings, a VG++ copy sold last week for $41. https://www.popsike.c...0906217709.html You could argue that a M- copy sold for £100 in Feburary but that's the exception to the rule, and does not in my opinion set a precedent for the record's value. If I wanted the 45 I would bide my time...a decent condition copy will turn up for a realistic price, especially with x-mas coming and the need for people to raise some cash. Take care Dave

Info Needed On Smokey Robinson Track
Hi Folks. I need to know if this track was ever released (in any format). It starts off with the lines: It's no use, it's no fun, you're unhappy with 10 secret loves, if your lover has one. The chorus goes "if you plant the seeds of wildflower, don't expert tame tomatoes. Think it's called "Wildflower" Thanks in advance, Dave

Made An Offer On A Record, Told To Buy A Reissue On Gemm
I wouldn't even bother making an offer. It's obvious that he doesn't need to sell the record. Dave

Smoke Have I Really Lost You .price Please
Am I correct in saying that the 45 mix of "Have I really lost you" is slightly different to the album version? Dave
