    6 o clock is the us hit, "symphony for soul" i think is the title, got one but can't remember where it is, might be on Imperial, it was recorded in Detroit with Ed wulfrun as sound engineer !

    total eclipse "6 o clock" is an inst version of a loving spoonful Us number 1 hit !!! and yes it is the same record As "SUPERTIME" the boot is the only 45 issue of this track. LP is about £50/£60 I think !

  15. two things here, I had a john manship tape, not sales tape, but stuff he was playing at the end of his Dj era, Paris Blues was on it as was Geradine Hunt "Winner take all" ABC around 1976 Ive never heard anyone play "winner takes all" out, still sounds good to my ears ! And on the subject of Paris Blues I think it is the title music to a film of the same name from the late '50s early 60's, I'm sure there is an Elmer Berstien connection with that. Anybody know more or even seen the film ? it would tie in with Tony's image etc

  21. lorraine Chandler stole the show at Stafford, came out from the wings singing "tell me your mine" and the hairs stood up on the back of your neck ! eddie was filling the show up with soul classics (knock on wood) both were excellent at Vauxhall weekender. see if they've still got it at Prestatyn in march, by the way can anyone name all the backing singers at Stafford, Rob Marriott, danny Everade, a young Butch ? maybe Keb ? i think there were 5 in all !!
