Uniques - Not Too Long Ago
What, the way he looks now makes it a bad record?

Uniques - Not Too Long Ago
The UK one misses the first note - not sure what instrument it is - but apart from that I think it's the same (I may be wrong)

Selling Pressings
Of course but in this case it;'s easy to understand why it sold for that price

You'll not have heard it then!

Selling Pressings
Was that the really good lookalike one though with the greenish label? I've never seen that come up for sale before and it looks just like the original (unless examined close up) so in this instance I can understand the price, but I don't think anyone should be paying more than £20 bfor the dark blue Salvadors pressing, however great a record it is

Rare Soul Review # 3
Don't know but I do know I subscribed and don't think I saw anything other than issue 1

Selling Pressings
I've never heard one with a hiss and I've had loads of them. Wouldn't pay more than £10 or ask more than £15 for it though.

Selling Pressings
Just be realistic with the prices - I just sold 100 of them for 200 quid - who buys Dave Mitchell, Mark Johnson, Rain etc etc for more than a fiver?

Johnny Casewell /moses Smith
You have to read the reply properly, he said Johnny Caswell was covered up as Moses Smith before it's real identity was discovered.

There's an unreleased Len Barry version of You Don't Love Me Anymore. Kev Roberts told me after speaking to John Madara.

The Butlers
As low as £20 for the blue text one sometimes.

Whispers,tsu Toronadoes,junior Mccants Etc
Yeah if you think you can find an overpriced record on my sales list today, you go for it...
-
Whispers,tsu Toronadoes,junior Mccants Etc
I don't think I'm cheap, it's the others who are just crazy expensive
-
Whispers,tsu Toronadoes,junior Mccants Etc
You'd already sold it, I didn't include your price, I'm commenting on the ludicrous price you've quoted JM as having it for sale for, which if true, means that he sells it for £65 more than I do.

Whispers,tsu Toronadoes,junior Mccants Etc
This has got to be a joke...

Postage From America
Well I'd been selling it for £10 quid for ever until someone suddenly decided it was rare about 2 years ago. Punters on the northern scene are such sheep, they see one dealer sell a record for a silly price and start believing thats what it's worth. People cannot seem to see the difference between auctions and set sales. Auction prices are not real prices, they are the result of people bidding against one another and pushing the price up. The problem comes when the final value is taken as that records worth, which is just nonsense.

How Long
Couple of points. Firstly, I have never been able to understand the appeal of the i-pod, it's a fashion item and thats that, the Creative Zen M has another 25% more capacity and also can hold 200 hours of film as well as 14,000 music tracks for about £50 less it's ipod equivalent. I was thinking of getting a new mp3 player, it won't be an ipod. Second thing. I was in Virgin records yesterday and the student behind the desk says "did you find everything you were lookijng for" and I said "well to be honest, no I didn't, your reggae section is absolutely pathetic, 2 years ago it was great but now all you've got are Trojan box sets and little else". verbatim that is. Anyway he said that they had been ordered to downsize practically every music section as there was such a decline in sales. This to me is the thin end of the wedge, eventually it looks like there may be no physical product at all and everything will be a computer file. Remember in the 70's when we used to walk around with our latest album tucked under our arms so that everyone could see it? Try that with an mp3.

How Long
See that sort of thing is just bizarre to me, people offering to pay for mp3's, if anyone ever asks me for a track I just send it to them if I've got it. I couldn't charge just for a little file like that. (Not saying you do) Obviously I'd charge if it were like 500 or 1000 mp3's.

Postage From America
I know it was discussed recently but what should we be paying for postage from the USA for 1 x 45 at the moment, I've been told $8 and $13 this week and both of those seem a bit high to me (especially when some people use second hand mailers so have no cost to cover)

Little Joe Roman
Crap though innit...compared to Bobby Treetop and E Rodney Jones on the same label I mean
