  5. I emailed the seller: Dear Seller I see you have a price of £250 on this item, did you actually mean to put £2.50? to which I received this reply karrong2007 (0) Positive feedback: 0% Member since: 04-Feb-07 Location: Lancashire,United Kingdom Registered on: www.ebay.co.uk ------------------------------------------------------- i meant 250.00 not 2.50 thanks karron
  6. Wonder if I sped up the backing track and deepen the vocal a bit...
  7. Someone had to, are you related to her
  8. it's a mean old world - wilma scott - verdy 15010 refosoul
  9. Can't make my mind up about this one, the voice isn't great and it starts a bit low key but there's a really good horn riff and I like the drumming as well, so not quite sure to make of this but I get the feeling it's goint to be voted a miss by the esteemed Soul Source panel. But the more you heart it, the more it grows on you.
  10. Because it was a real monster back in 1973-74, no copies around...then revived late 70's. Blue ones 40-50 quid, yellow ones 50-70 quid
  11. The first one you asked about is definitely a boot
  12. He's just responded positively and agreed to a partial refund so if I ask for my shipping money back I'll be happy with that
  13. yes, he is...
  14. It did get up to £60 at one point but I sell it for 25-30 now
  15. The scenario is, bought 3 job lots of 60 x 45's. Described as vg- to vg+, mostly vg. I;d say 10% are vg and above, the rest are fair/good, I mean disgusting, dirty, look like they came out of a skip. Complained and the bloke says send them back for refund. However, I have to pay for them to be returned and it will be about 60 quid. Why should I be out of pocket when goods have been described incorrectly? If I go to paypal they will contact him and he will tell them he'll refund me when he receives the goods, but that still leaves me way out of pocket. What I have done is asked him for a partial refund, and said I'm going to leave 3 lots of negative feedback if we can't come to a compromise, mainly to stop other people having the same stunt pulled on them. Any comments/opinions/what to do?

Robby Fortson had a decent solo single on Pzazz. That's all I know.
  17. Can't wait to se Ady's response to this

It's quite interesting because it has a real clip-clop beat which you don't really notice on the vocal. I remember the bootleg now, it was on "Bari" records and as you say, the inst is called All The Time

Fortnum eh, slip of the tongue?

Info is wrong Mel, that came out on a bootleg over a decade ago with an instrumental version of Frances Nero on the other side - I think it was credited to Soul Borothers and it was on a red label.
  21. The boot is also on vinyl, a good lookalike, but poor sound quality dubbed of a scratchy original
  22. Sorry, been out all day, only just got in. Sheppards p*isses over Ernest Mosely, absolutely no comparison, plus you've also got a fantastic flipside on the Sheppards version. p.s. SOLD
  23. I've got an absolutely, stone mint, unplayed copy of THE SHEPPARDS - STUBBORN HEART / HOW DO YOU LIKE IT - MIRWOOD 5534. I've never seen a copy in such beautiful condition. Anyway, if anyone wants it, it's £190 and I'll do free registered postage.
