No, the fact thay you'd play this and it didn't mark a mass evacuation of the building never heard anything quite like it in my life
  2. Kendra is definitely Sandi Sheldon. She's also the lead singer of The Vonnettes who did Touch My Heart on Cobblestone. They were meant to be called The Vannettes after Van McCoy apparently.
  3. I'll never forget the day I got this off Ebay for $250. Don't think too many issues have ever surfaced. And for once, Mick Smith didn't con me when he took it off my hands
  4. Could well be...up on ebay for $3.99 at the moment
  5. Never seen this before either
  6. They seem like a nice bunch

Blimey, April Fools day came early this year
  8. For £150 I'd want 2 copies...maybe 3!
  9. This record is almost indentical to Ain't That Peculiar!
  10. I said a few weeks back but Fairy Active Foam is the best record cleaner I've ever used. Doubt if it would improve your acetate though, once those are worn, they stay that way
  11. It's definitely UK type vinyl Chalky, you'd know what I mean if you held it, also it has the anti-slip groove things on the edges, I know some Capitol and releated labels had that but I think if you showed it to 100 people, they'd say it was UK. having said that, there's nothing in the run off to indicate where it was manufactured, only the number (scratched in) and a weird sign thats like a letter V tipped to the right on top of a vertical line!
  12. I never knew there was a UK peachtree label...when this from, anyone know? Who distributed the label?
  13. I hadn't got the money either Paul but I'll get it from somewhere!
  14. Surely if whoever owns Motown nowadays were interested, they would have busted them by now? Even just for the copyright on the logos for a start
  15. I'm just a bit worried about how you came to find it - but definitely best artist name of the year so far

Just for once, I'm going to agree with the £700+ brigade - I think it is pretty rare. Always thought it was such a weird title "Hard row to hoe" until you actually listen to the lyrics...it's about a chain gang I think, working the fields
  17. Still pretty cheap as well...including Vows, Liz Lands, Lee Rogers, Jimmy Ruffin, Jo Ann King, Honey Bees, Frank Howard, Baby Washington etc https://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZmayfair...1QQfsooZ1QQrdZ0
  18. Not arrived yet but I was astonished at the ease with which I won these 3 beauties off ebay: harrison brothers - run for your life - bobalou - not had a sniff of one of these since I sold it back in 2000 impacts - jerkin' in your seat - counsel - never had this entertainers iv - getting back into circulation - dore - almost forgotten nowadays, this has the same backing as bobby sheen - doctor love
  19. Well it wasn't as if I edited it out of the text that I posted up, so someone did mention Thelma Jones.
  20. I never said I was going to give him any hassle, in fact I said above I only emailed him this morning...he's replied and said he didn't realise and will refund the money anyway. But do me a favour, onus on the buyer?? When the seller is describing the item incorrectly it's hardly my fault is it. In fact that's an unbelievable statement to come out with.
  21. Think it was a minor hit in the States...also got issued here
  22. Fairs fair though Baz...if, like me, you've watched the entire 4 dvd set of SWONS you'll have seen a fair bit of the 4 Vandals and as a live act I'm pretty sure they'd be good. The blokes a decent singer and with any luck they won't have the ubiquitous Ian Levine drum sample that's on every one of his last 500 tracks.
