Sam Ward is but the Ideals was never bootlegged...

British Releases
At least 50%. For instance: I've got a Gene Chandler - Nothing Can Stop me on Stateside, nice condition but no centre. I'm starting it off at £5 and hoping it'll reach £25. A copy with a centre would be £50 to £75.

For Sale With Soundbite
No offence Keith but I've got Paul Varasco as a buy it now on Ebay for half of what you've got it for, I can't sell it at that price so you aren't likely to sell it for what you've listed it at.

What Is This The Backing Track To?
Just trying to find out if there's a vocal..
-
The Eyes On Manship
Which is why I made a list of artists who have had records played on the Northern scene - duh
-
Bakcdoor`s Choices
Yes absolutely, Samantha Jones, but it was on a US United Artists demo not a British one that I had, knew there was some UK connection. Cheers for that.

-
Carl Dixon 60s soul project
You'll find that maybe only 1% of anyone reading your post would prefer to have it on a cd rather than a 45!

Charles Diamond And The Inspirations - Breakthrough - Reply From Charles Diamond - Priceless
Andy Rix should be on this site as resident guru and God-like figure.

Candi Staton - Young Hearts Run Free
Good for you!!! Especially starting it again

Audrey Matthews-i Have No Choice
Don't underestimate people's taste so much, the majority of people on here know the difference between brilliant and mediocre, the Johnnie Mae version is unsurpassable and if she'd only ever made that one record she would be legendary. The other version is just a poor demo.

The Shepards & The Chalfontes
Chalfontes reissue should be about £8 I reckon. I've just put loads of reissues on Ebay at 4.99 each - I bet I only sell about 3 for more than 4.99. Also 30 or so UK 60's originals, 4.99 each, loads of things that are booked at 10 to 30 quid - again, won't sell for much more than the start price.

What Is This
Sorry mate thought you were talking about the Larry Allen with the added girl backing vocal
-
Prince George "wrong Crowd"
Don't think so otherwise they'd have tried harder with the counterfeit, but you may be right mate.

What Is This
Sorry Jodie, I didn't realise it was you, but I'm not bullshitting you, I've either got or I've had that track. It's just over the last 35 years, so many 'new' vocals to old instrumentals have appeared...that's the only reason I was a bit sceptical about it Larry Allen mate. yes you're right, I knew we'd had it before, this was about 1999 - 2000

What Is This
Come to think of it, now that I've played it - it's a girl vocal to The Way You've Been Acting Lately instrumental, totally different song though - I've either got this, I've had it, or it's been posted up before. I'd guess this might have something to do with the old UK Kool Kat label, they also put out a different version, though this girl is a better singer. As for it being an original US recording...

What Is This
Mick Holdsworth is on here regularly, I'm sure he'll tell you about it eventually!

Tony Hestor - Down In The Dumps
I don't know what makes you say they were cut from bootlegs. The scans on the front look real enough. Plus they also had access to unreleased stuff, one of which is on there (the Soul Hawks) and a couple which came out on a single (Erik & The Vikings/Detroit Strings). You're right about the lp though, absolutely fantastic, couple that with the stuff that came out on Grapevine (first LP) you'd have a tremendous compilation. I'll start work on it now.

The Eyes On Manship
without even thinking about it there's people like THE KUBAS CHAPTER 5 JOHN ANDREWS & THE LONELY ONES MANCHESTERS PLAYBOYS VIP'S BYSTANDERS TIMEBOX FELDERS ORIOLES SIGHT & SOUND OUTER LIMITS POETS HERBIE GOINS JOHN LEES GROUNDHOGS you could literally go on for ever..in fact you could probably come up with a list of about 100 groups just doing Motown covers

Charles Diamond And The Inspirations - Breakthrough - Reply From Charles Diamond - Priceless
I tried it once before, I got called a money grabbing you know what, blimey I even had over a dozen people leave the list just because I told them I would no longer reserve records because I was getting left with so many (i.e. an enquiry equals an order), funny so-and-so's.

Charles Diamond And The Inspirations - Breakthrough - Reply From Charles Diamond - Priceless
No offence Paul but I think the customers who've stuck with me for this long deserve a bit more respect than me putting up a common pressing and then asking them to bid for it. The last one I had was £15 set sale and it went to the first person to shout up. I won't auction anything unless I genuinely don't know the price. If you're just selling to anyone who comes onto your website then I understand why you are doing auctions, but I've got a miling list of a couple of thousand people to look after and it just wouldn't wash with them.

Don Thomas
Or because that's all it's worth Paul, why are people hyping up the prices on these common records, someone tell me???

Charles Diamond And The Inspirations - Breakthrough - Reply From Charles Diamond - Priceless
Which is more or less what I said to you an hour back, definitely a 60's recording
