See What You Think Of This
You're too clever for your own good matey yes it's Byron Lee & The Dragonaires (vocals Ken Lazarus) thats the exact label credit, on Jamaican SOUL label. I got this today for $5 along with another track on the SOUL label, the fabulous Wide Awake In A Dream by Philip James (Blues Busters) which as you know I have on Island cos I sent it up a few weeks back but I think I'll sell the Island copy now. That was $5 as well. Got me 70 Jamaican 45's, half ot them blanks, but everything is ska or rocksteady so I am saving them for tonight, have a little session.

Gary Dean - Manship Auction
I don't think it's worth anywhere near 700 - in fact 400 is a bit much now that copies turned up - I'd have said 300

Help On Fixing An Edge Crack
Bit of nail polish on the b side will stop the crack spreading. If it's a 70's record I'd recommend a sledgehammer.

Chartbusters Usa - Value Anyone?
It's rare alright, easy £75, but nobody collects LP's apparently...I remember a couple of years trying to sell a UK copy of the Major Lance Columbia LP and I had to drop it from £120 to £50 to sell it..

Hi Fi Separates
- The Big Spenders
I can't make much sense of this are you saying it's a UK release on Gemini? That was a short lived weird label with some prog, folk and pop releases. Robin Sylvester was a session bassist and still is I think. So in answer to your question - no.- Hi Fi Separates
Makro sell this box containg two turntables and a mixer for £100. Same thing is £200 in HMV. Not exactly top of the range but for using at home it's perfectly good, also Richer Sounds do a good cheap amp by Acoustic Solutions, all this is great for tatting about at home. Get a standalone cd recorder for £150 or so.- Hi Fi Separates
Are you familiar with the word BINATONE ??- Those Funny Northern Soul Tracks
George Lemons - Fascinating girl Carstairs - It really hurts me girl James Coit - Black power- Connie Clark - 'my Sugar Baby'
There's a black label vinyl boot then a yellow label one which some people try and pass off as original, except on the label it mentions Soul Galore- Virgin Posting
Stuck on label is a boot, moulded label is real- Virgin Posting
Yeah it's quite rare on original...boots on black and light blue labels though- Upstairs At The Locarno
He resurfaced last year and sold his collection via flyers left out at the 100 Club...I know Mick Smith had a lot of them. How long did the Locarno go on for then, I stopped going in 1979 because they switched it to the Top Of The World, Stafford, I got so fed up of the police pulling me in every time I went that I packed it in altogether- Virgin Posting
Dear William £40 £75 £40 cheers Pete- If Only I Still Had
Too many to remember... Monique Matt Lucas Bernie Williams Sam Williams Moses Dillard - Pay the price Tommy Bush (bought at least 3 of these for under £10) Lou Ragland (sold for £5 to pep) lenny Curtis (sold for £5 at the Old Vic) Vickie Baines issue Dean Courtney MGM issue except nowadays when you can cut your own records for a few quid, it doesn't matter anymore, at least you can get a record to play indoors (or out)- Another Ebay Item
But the astonishing thing about all this is that someone would actually pay more than £10 for this pile of shite. The absolute pits. Makes Wombat sound like a soul classic. 1) he can't sing in tune 2) the instruments are out of tune 3) it's f*cking awful- New Cd Release
Then again, it could be worse, on the Detroit Floor Fillers cd thats just come out I've got every track on cd already- New Cd Release
I don't know if the material is drying up but the new 50 track cd Golden Age Of NS vol 2 has at 33 tracks that have already appeared on cd. What's the strategy behind this? - The Big Spenders
