Emidisc
Custom Emidiscs are more or less worthless - 'real' Emidiscs are worth money. If you find an acetate with two Northern tracks from different labels, thats been custom made and once the records were pressed, the Emidisc became redundant anyway.

Where Did I Go Wrong
Had a couple of Musicor wd's of it. UK copy is rare though, bit surprising because her first single is quite common. Here she is.. https://www.marilynpowell.co.uk/

No you are right, 15 isn't a lot, I just started the topic because two went up for sale in the same place on the same day and I was really surprised.

Only 29 views on the entire topic though, I guess a lot of people have the section filtered out maybe? Compared to hundreds when I did the recent Wigan ones?

45S For Sale / Ideal Starter Collection/n.soul/soul
Trouble is there's loads in there that are of no interest to anyone into Northern like the Motown stuff at the start (nobodys going to pay £3 for Touch me in the morning for instance), if you removed that stuff and sold them as a Northern collection you'd have more or luck. Not being nasty or anything, just telling you from a prospective buyers point of view.

So the question is - how many?

Two unplayed copies go up for sale (on here) within 24 hours of each other. Any thoughts?

Uncommon Early 70's Uk Motown Compilation Album ?
Thats what they were all called back in those days, never 'clubs', I used to do my own 'disco charts' consisting of records they played at our local youth club disco - the term changed meaning about 75/76 I guess

Uncommon Early 70's Uk Motown Compilation Album ?
Volume 4 was fantastic, I bought it from the record/tv shop in our village and wore it out, it had I'll Keep Holding On, Frances Nero, Al Kent, stuff like that, yellow cover with two cartoon dancers on it.

Soul Source Grading System Not Working For Me
It's really easy to give a proper description of a record though - play it and write down what you hear - look at these entries off a list I did today, nothing ambiguous about it, I'm sure it's obvious how the records will sound? EVERYTHING - RIO 121 G++ TO VG NO CENTRE HAS CRACKLES AS PER A RECORD THATS NEVER HAD A SLEEVE I BOUGHT THIS DESCRIBED AS EX MINUS, SOMEONE NEEDS GLASSES £15 THE UPSETTERS - RETURN OF THE UGLY / I'VE CAUGHT YOU - PUNCH 18 LOTS OF MARKS BUT PLAYS WELL WITH SOME NOISE G+ TO VG £15 DERRICK MORGAN - ME NAH GIVE UP / BEVERLEYS ALLSTARS - DREADNAUGHT - PYRAMID 6053 Awesome early reggae tune from Derrick and 'Johnny Melody'. Uncommon Early 70's Uk Motown Compilation Album ?
Someone at Motown had their finger on the pulse, can't remember the name of the album but in around 1970-71 they released a compilation album of top dancers including "Six By Six" and the sleeve notes tell us that people travel the country just to hear this track.

John Harris And The Soul Sayers Now Out On 45
I've been playing records since I could just about walk, why stop now? I can't put an mp3 on a turntable. It's the same thing when people say they prefer LP's to CD's. You can't cherish a CD like you can with an LP. MP3's and itunes etc are fantastic for storing a library of music but nothing's ever going to take the place of an actual vinyl record which you can touch and go through the process of removing it from it's sleeve, putting it on the deck and putting the needle on the run in in anticipation. MP3 - you just click a button. Where's the love there?

Soul Showdown - 60's Vs 70's - New Podcast
Here's a two hour special featuring - well basically a bunch of tracks that I like, as usual - with a mixture of 60's and 70's tunes, all designed to keep the dancers happy. I must warn you, there are some quite left field selections in this lot, but at least it keeps it fun. Some of these you may not have heard for 30 years, some you might have heard yesterday, but I think it's a pretty entertaining affair and to keep within the spirit, they were all recorded from vinyl (hence a few pops and clicks here and there). HARRY BETTS - THEM FROM THE FANTASTIC PLASTIC MACHINE THE COMBINATIONS - WHATCHA GONNA DO BENNY CURTIS & THE DIRTY HEARTS - DIRTY HEARTS DAWN - BABY'S GONE AWAY SPYDER TURNER - I CAN'T MAKE IT ANYMORE LARRY ALLEN - CAN'T WE TALK IT OVER THE FI DELS - TRY A LITTLE HARDER G. DAVIS & R. TYLER - HOLD ON HELP IS ON THE WAY THE TRANELLS - BLESSED WITH A LOVE THE CARTER BROTHERS - SO GLAD YOU'RE MINE ELLIE GREENWICH - BABY ROBERT THOMAS - SALVATION JOE JAMA - MY LIFE THE GATURS - YEAH YOU'RE RIGHT, YOU KNOW YOU'RE RIGHT SISTERS LOVE - I'M LEARNING TO TRUST MY MAN SAM WARD - SISTER LEE BOB'S BAND - LOCKES THEME FELIX CAVALIERE - NEVER FELT LOVE BEFORE AL DE LORY - RIGHT ON MANDRILL - NEVER DIE MIROSLAV VITOUS - NEW YORK CITY THE CHANDLERS - YOUR LOVE KEEPS DRAWING ME CLOSER ALPACA PHASE III - I LIKE TO PARTY LIFE - TELL ME WHY VAL PALMER - BACK IN MY ARMS AGAIN FRENCH FRIES - DANSE A LA MUSIQUE FLOWER SHOPPE - YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY BABY LARRY SANTOS - YOU GOT ME WHERE YOU WANT ME (LP VERSION) THE INSPIRATIONS - NO ONE ELSE CAN TAKE YOUR PLACE THE BAJA MARIMBA BAND - ALONG COMES MARY SAN FRANCISCAN TKO'S - MAKE UP YOUR MIND BARBARA PENNINGTON - TWENTY FOUR HOURS A DAY ANDERSON BROTHERS - I CAN SEE HIM LOVING YOU JACKIE TRENT - YOU BABY THE BLENDELS - YOU NEED LOVE THE VONDELS - HEY GIRL YOU'VE CHANGED SAM DEES - LONELY FOR YOU BABY BETTY LLOYD - I'M CATCHING ON ARIN DEMAIN - SILENT TREATMENT D.C. Soul Source Grading System Not Working For Me
I'd say a VG- record is one thats never been kept in a sleeve and looks battered but plays well in comparison with it's appearance - and of course all someone has to do is post a sound clip, like you say

Soul Source Grading System Not Working For Me
n.b. am a bit stuck there as this website is designed using wordpress and I haven't got a clue about it, am totally dependent on the lady who built the site, and even she doesn't know why the shopping cart doesn't work properly so I'm just thankful that I sell most records via my mailing list.
