  1. Most Irish releases were made in Ireland! Sometimes when there wasn't an irish version of the label it would come out on it's parent label e.g. I've seen UK Chess releases come out on Irish Pye.
  2. I had one of her 'people' contact me about 5 years ago, they were after a piece of footage of her that I'd posted on YouTube but which they took down, it was of her doing Roll With me henry (or is it called Wallflower) in a small club circa 1958. So I sent them a DVD of it and a few weeks later I got back a lovely 8" x 10" signed colour photo from Etta. Or it might have been from the person who contacted me as the writing looked the same saw it the other day, in a box in the garage..
  3. look I'll reply when I've done the other four or five ok
  4. Wow - I'd never have known that, I thought it was definitely 'the' Frank Wilson. Do you think there was any demand for this title to be bootlegged though, especially in this format.
  5. I think it's because for some reason I seem to be some kind of unofficial agony aunt come record problem solver so there's not a day go by when someone asks me something or other, had four or five yesterday - most of them say what should I do about this or that. Odd, but nice at the same time.
  6. In that case, it's £50 if anyone wants it.... (SOLD)
  7. A Party Time DJ has got to be worth more than the blue issue Dave, surely? But The Sunlovers - I'd be happy with 75, just surprised at the 200 valuation.
  8. Mike - just deleted all mine - 3,300 of them!
  9. I don't know about UK ABC beating him to it, they didn't release Love Runs Out until 1977, a three year gap!
  10. I think the Showstoppers demo might be quite scarce as I can't remember having one before - thinking maybe £40? The Sunlovers, I always thought this was around £75 but in the price guide it lists at £200 - quite a difference - any opinions please?
  11. The DJ Copy Not For Sale lettering looks like that on an East Coast Parkway demo doesn't it?
  12. This one has the 58250 delta number but another stamp which looks like a lower case e with the middle bit of the e running into an upper case A and making up the bar accross the middle of the A, if you see what I mean. Opposite to this it has the scratched in details: 45 - 7000 - AA - RE. Definitely very thick vinyl not styrene though.
  13. I hope the fake bidders haven't started bidding on John's auctions because a copy of Humpty Dumpty by eric Morris on Blue Beat sold for £354, now this record is worth no more than £20 and I doubt there has ever been a copy that has sold for £50 or more in the entire history of record collecting, I've had at least a dozen copies of it, it's as nearly as common as something like Ten Commandments Of Man. There is one on Ebay BUY IT NOW for £5, one for £39, one for £25 and one up for bids, that's 4 copies just on UK ebay. How can a record like that sell for £354? It's beyond me. p.s. there are also 6 copies on US Ebay, 5 are British, one is $8
  14. Wish they were! It sure is a great record though.
  15. Yes it is - I'll record it for you and PM it to you if you like
  16. John, the problem is, if you base prices on gemm or ebay or popsike, none of these prices are real; gemm prices include a giant commission to the website, and ebay/popsike are auction prices anmd not 'real world' prices, in the same that some of the prices you get on your auctions aren't real world prices either. I wouldn't, personally, use any of the three you mention as a guide to what a record's actually worth, I'd see what others are selling it for, get an everage, and then undercut them
  17. Do you ever use other people's sales lists and make comparisons though John, and ever change what you have the item listed for as a result? Serious question.
  18. I think it's just the old ploy of putting a model on there Brian - definitely not Tami Lynn!
  19. Right well these have got me stumped. ROGER BAILEY - LOST GENERATION - AUDIO FIRTY LONG/SHORT DEMO I know nothing of this record whatsoever, never heard of it, bit hard to describe but pretty awful, this I think books at 100 but surely not? THE COMPULSIONS - I CAN'T FIND LOVE / TAKE A LESSON FROM A FOOL - OMEN DEMO Don't know if it's the same Omen label as brice Coefield etc. Two pretty undistinguished sides really, one fast one slower BETTY WILLIS - TAKE YOUR HEART - RENDEZVOUS DEMO Early 60's popcorn-ish REMARKABLES WITH FRANK WILSON - IS THE FEELING STILL THERE / EASILY MISLEAD - AUDIO ART DEMO Now obviously I know this one, but have never seen on the Audio ART and not ARTS label, it's on vinyl and has a monarch number LITTLE SAMMY GAHA - HAD TO RUN / OUT OF MY BRAIN - BARCLAY Two horrendous sides but I know he has a couple of collectable ones, I presume this isn't one of them! thanks for looking
