  1. Goodnight to you too. Don't quite get your little 'jackie Lee, fuck me' pop, but in fact I think you've done me a favour by showing just where the rarity thing does become complete anal bollocks. Just a very simple example of an acknowledged all-time northern classic that pisses over JD BRYANT in every department except there are a few thousand copies knocking about. That's all. Fook me.....
  2. Do I have to, they're both shit
  3. Paul Mooney was kind enough to send me a recording of Gone With The Wind Is My Love, instrumental version, my goodness it is absolutely FANTASTIC, I mean the vocal is brilliant but his instrumental is just as good, seriously awesome!
  4. Well - the voices sound remarkably similar so I'll stick to my theory but thanks for the info.

One's West Coast I think, the red one. This is one of those records that books high but is tough to sell. I've won it as low as £30 on ebay and sold it for not much higher. Real value I reckon to be £60.

  8. I reckon that the lead singer on The Lollipops "Loving good feeling" is definitely Dena Barnes. Same label (almost), same writers and producers, and she sounds the same except there's no squeaky high notes for her to sing in LGF. Has this link ever been mentioned before or am I hearing things?

  16. There are a lot of them - just never seen this one before.
  17. It is, but I was thinking of asking a certain dealer to maybe auction it for me as people never want to make concrete offers for anything. I forgot to cheque if it was in his book actually.
  18. 19. Never heard of this before - certainly never seen it before - anyone else? If so, any idea how many were made and what the value is? PSRS 319A Basically it's an invitation from EMI to I presume the movers and the shakers of the music press to attend a press conference event at EMI House in honour of Diana Ross & The Supremes, who of course are going to be the star guests. The record begins with Love Child which is described by the narrator as their latest single, he then explains about the event and it goes back into Love Child. The label states "this record was pressed specially for" and I guess the name of the intended guest would have been written in the blank space.

I've just come back from a record fair and there was one of these on Fab in a box for £12 and I couldn't remember if it was Northern or not so I said to the bloke "this is a dancer isn't it" and he said no, it's ska. Whatever happened to those missing braincells of mine.
  21. Have added the labels for those who like to know those things..
  22. Thats original Russ. Same as mine which is 100% original.
  23. Pleasant enough, sounds early 80's to me, but where on earth did you pull a figure of $2000 buy it now from? Honestly, I'm not trying to be funny.
  24. There's definitely a demo of Golden Apples Of The Sun, it's rare though, so is the issue - I'd have thought £75. There may be a demo on Decca too as it was withdrawn from that label, might just be a rumour though.
