  1. Blimey, I always thought that the Nags Head was in Peckham. The dance floor at my do [ Burnley Cricket Club ] is excellent and doesn't need talc. And if you don't believe me, come and have a go if you think your up to it. [ blatent plug ] Phil.
  2. Carol McCarthy end of discussion. But I think that today, the girls are better dancers, because they are much fitter than us blokes.

Hi Chalky, Think you are right, mines a demo with CAN in the title, never seen an issue. Personally I love the record and play it in my set a lot. Goes down well, very rarely see it for sale. Phil.
  4. Where's the scan gone?

My comments were not made to a post by you, and they were light hearted. Yours on the other hand were not. I made a comment, based on an opinion of something that I have heard many times. You made a comment about a night that you have never attended. If you can't be civil in your opinions you should not be on here. And you have just contradicted yourself there. YOU must have cared less or you would not have replied to my post. Phil.

Brett, I'm entitled to my own opinion, as of course are you. What my opinion has to do with my night I really don't know. I have tried to avoid clashing with all nights that have an upfront music policy. Plus I enjoy S.O.N. and would like to support Mr.Cato and my good friends who dj there. So you really should try and curb your temper. And I love mid tempo by the way, and I only make comments on a night when I've actually been to it. I'm afraid that I'm not going to say something is great just because you like it. We are all different, thank god. Phil.

    I'd just snap it. Sorry.
  8. Still looking for this, thought some kind soul on here would have put me out of my missery.

Sorry to be negative, but absolute poo in my humble opinion, and sounds like I'm not alone by what you say. Deffo not soul to me and not a dancer either. yuk!
  10. FOR SALE - DELEGATES OF SOUL - I'LL COME RUNNING BACK - UPLOOK M- £350 First come first served, may swap for a similar value tune. Cash either way. Thanks for looking, Phil. HELD.
  11. Both sides can be heard on Manships rarest of the rare. £600 now I believe, fantastic intro, but then very mediocre I.M.H.O. Just not that good, rarity over quality again me thinks. Phil.
  12. This has been at the top of my wants list for a few years now. Got one? know where there is one? I don't wanna have to beg. PLEASE sorry, your price paid [ within reason ] Thanks for looking, Phil.

Take my advice mate and keep the Donna King. Much better record, and rarer I.M.H.O. if I'd have still had my copy of Leo Price I'd have bitten your hand off. Phil.
  14. Yes, I've had the purple one a couple of times and I think it's pukka. All the markings are right, and the sound quallity is great. Phil.
  15. Totally agree Steve, when I first heard it I used to rush home just so I could listen to it again. A masterpiece of soul. Along with George Smith - I've had it - Turntable. Phil.
  16. Rachel, if only there were more like you. That last paragraph is "nail on head" stuff i.m.h.o.why would anybody want to travel to a venue to hear music that thay can play at home? and sing along to every word. I know many people who get very upset if they don't know every single tune that's played. I'm running an upfront night myself, and struggling to get people in, but at least the ones who attend are there for the right reasons. And as long as I can break even, I'll keep going. It is very depressing though when you see the attendances at oldies nights. Can't understand it myself. The buzz that I get when I hear a new tune that blows me away, just can't be beat. WHAT IS THAT, I MUST HAVE IT, PLAY IT AGAIN. That's what it means to me. Wish you lived closer, you'd be very welcome at my do. Phil.
  17. Hi Andy, When you say "too many people trying to break into djing who arn't good enough" Do you mean technically, or musically?Or both? Phil.
  18. Very interesting, thanks Mike. Regards, Phil.
  19. Are there lot's of copies then Chalky?
  20. Similar thing seems to have happened with a record that Stuart Bennet has played at my Soul Salvation nights. Was thought to be a one off for many years, but have been told it's been seen on a play list recently. So maybe a few have turned up. Explosive Dynamics - Whole lot of love - Lemco, fantastic tune. Another that I'd love to own. You know it Steve?
  21. Hi Steve, The one on John's R.O.T.R. was loaned to him by mr. Watt. I'm glad to hear there are more copies though, it gives us all hope of one day owning a copy. Bloody hell, did you see that pig just fly by. Best, Phil.
