Gradings used are M/Ex/Vg... through +/- little charles.mp3
  2. Cheers, now I know and can point it to whom ever !
  3. I don't pay close attention to this record on the evilBay since I have mine and it's fine like that. I just had a closer peek at an "high end" price and I thought remembering that it was a bootleg. The typos are nor right for any Constellation 45s. Now I'm in doubt. Could it be a "strange/odd" release ? I saw that quite a few of those sold on the evilBay for what I think were like it's "the real deal". Did it fool a lot of people then ? A lot were sold from the USAs... All perfect condition... So maybe a boot done for another scene than the NS ? Anyone knows better ? the bizarre, then the real demo and the real issue (flat logo design)
  4. https://www.mixcloud.com/Cloudfunk/timmy-soul-presents-soundz/ the Countours – just a little misunderstanding the Vel-Vets- I’ve got to find me somebody Inell Young – the next ball game Cindy and the Playmates – don’t stop this train Ronnie Love – nothing to it The Candy Bars – I believe in you The Drapers – (I know) your love has gone away Marie Knight – that’s no way to treat a girl The O’Jays – working on your case The Mecy Men – you’ve made it thunder The Ronettes – how does it feels ? The Showmen – fate planned it that way Donnell Pittman with the Chi-Lites – your love is dynamite
  5. Rarer than it's USA counterpart on a lovely black labeled thick vinyl Belgian pressing with a cute picture cover. Cover is Ex (small tear top right near corner and some crease as most of these very thin, glossy and fragile paper picture covers have) and vinyl is marked with few superficial scuffs (NAP) and mark imprint of some sort that looks like it's something that happened in the process of the pressing of the record. Scans and sound clip of both sides in full length from actual record for sale; jerry butler.mp3 £17 Free P&P all over the world and extra £6 to have it registered. PM me for details. Gradings used are M/Ex/Vg... through +/- jerry butler.mp3
  6. I believe that those West Cost styrene are rarer. In my experience it is anyway. Even most of those post 1964 Chess & Checker before the switch to light blue sky design are rare on styrene. Maybe some Jackie Ross aren't as hard as they seem to have had quite some success in California and around. I've seen plenty of the black one. Blue few. Your "orange" one I've seen once. Then as scarce or less but ordering a bigger price tag; the white demo. My favourite.
  7. And it's a longer cut of some 20 seconds... than the original release.
  8. !!! SOLD !!! Here's an often overlooked record by those who've browsed through thousands of records and consider this as good (only) and not rare (enough) to pay it more attention. Indeed, it had it's little success back in the days that explains why it is not that rare. Listen (again maybe) to those SHARP sides and dare to say otherwise. The Northern Soul side 'one little dance' is a well sustained mid-tempo with upfront vocals and on the flip you get the wonderful low-rider 'I love you baby' tear jerker. Styrene is a really nice Ex and the label did suffer some wear. Scans and sound clip of both sides in full length from actual record for sale; moovers.mp3 £20 Free P&P all over the world and extra £6 to have it registered. PM me for details. Gradings used are M/Ex/Vg... through +/- moovers.mp3
  9. !!! SOLD !!! Satyr had one single issued on RCA with what is a long favorite of mine on the sweet deep 7T's soul side with 'pity for a fool' that is only available on the issue copies. The promos are all double sided with this flip dancer 'free and easy' a bit more on the disco side. Overall Ex+ condition and SWOL (a date ?) on 'pity a fool' side. Company sleeve included. Scans and sound clip of both sides in full length from actual record for sale; satyr.mp3 was £25 NOW £20 Free P&P all over the world and extra £6 to have it registered. PM me for details. Gradings used are M/Ex/Vg... through +/-
  10. Not sure we want to do it this way LOL : VID_20151002_191152.3gp
  11. I've read few times that the Soul Merchants and the 21st Century were first edited on Tri-City label ? But in my book, Id' have them classified first on Moonville USA for the Soul Merchants and on Ultra-City for the 21st Century. Going by label design and chronology it simply follows. Is this right ? Even though there are two #321. Maybe one mistake rather than a ultra complex/chaotic catalogue numbering system. First one has catalogue number on bottom. Never more after. So I'd put those followers two prior. Then the new numbering with #313 on Tri-City, then back on Manville USA with #314 then Tri-City #315, Ultra-City #316, #317. Tri-City #318 & #319... then numbering becomes rather complicated. Most likely, TC #318 & #319 were re-issued at the time the 2 Kapp were also released, as what seemed to be a good commercial opportunity for Choker Campbell and his logo to "break through". What ever happened to that... THEN there's those 2 with the same catalogue numbers:
  12. !!! SOLD !!! Looking Ex- but hiss problems on 'hang' side. So VG-... ? It hisses from the start of the song, then stops somewhere in the middle. Then back again after and until the end of the song. Under a strong light you can see the era where it hisses (kinda different shade of grooves, like almost grey but not totally). A better one auctioned not too long ago on JM... Liston to full sound clip of both sides in full length. big guys.mp3 £25 or best offer Free P&P all over the world and extra £6 to have it registered. scans and sound clip from actual record for sale PM me for details. Gradings used are M/Ex/Vg... through +/- big guys.mp3
  13. A bit tad overpriced or something... maybe...
  14. And it's the same tune as this and apparently the same group (or almost all members were...) ;
  15. The Italian copy should rarer (counting those around) than the US one. There are even West Coast styrene (at leasts promos) of it out there ! So at least two pressing plants release in the US. The US Gamble should be more prized. Especially a minty one since the Italian release won't fit in a proper US Gamble 45 collection somehow. Even though and still the promo Sassy with 'love' on flip is the one to have for all the best reasons IMHO.
  16. Or rather rarer (is it still the case since the internet frontier breaking down ???) since the Gamble has those dreadful strings added on the wonderful 'love (your pain goes deeper)' side while the Sassy NOT !
  17. 3 OVOs promos on SS7 from 3 different pressing plants. Starting with the most common IMHO (RCA pressing plant (precision of Garethx); to a less common West Coast Monarch styrene press; and one indeed I was not aware of until now, from another RCA pressing plant; All 3 OVOs.
  18. Yes indeed, those two contemporary releases are from different pressing plants. Since the then "new" red design was already running for 3 previous releases and none of those share this label variation, we can suppose that the demand exploded unexpectedly for this instant hit 'is it because I'm black' and the other pressing plant still had those "old" labels. So they could have rushed the re-release with those "old" labels they still carried to satisfy ASAP the demand. As for the albums, the story is most likely not similar. The LP was apparently first released somewhere in 1970 on the red design. And released a second time on the "sun-rise" design (not the blue and grey then) !!! For the 45s this design was only introduced by mid 1971. So... rather as a re-release than contemporary one would believe.
  19. Thanks for that tip ! Indeed, I've never really inquired into the label and this sets the picture right for good. Firsts yellows, then split blue and greys, THEN reds, then sun-rises.
  20. Original vinyl demo is WLP; then issue black + colors and glossy label; then promo styrene from Monarch; then the bootleg black and silver on a matt label (+lo-fi as hell !) . Don't know if styrene as stockers but most likely !
  21. In real nice Ex condition with just one 'double's scuff (NAP) near edge at 7 O'clock on 'closer' side. Some sticker mark at 9.15 O'clock on 'night & day' side. springers.mp3 £100 or best offer or TRADES !!! Free P&P all over the world and extra £6 to have it registered. scans and full sound clip from actual record for sale PM me for details. Gradings used are M/Ex/Vg... through +/- _______________________________________________________________________________________________ springers.mp3
