I'd believe £50 or so for an Ex copy...

Helene Smith - controlled by your love
Different but vinyl ! All those Miami pressing plants were... OK, it could have a West coast release (sequel of the Paul Kelly picked for national distribution by Dial), but this doesn't look right to me as an early 1965 USA release with "SIDE ONE" & "SIDE TWO" on it !? But if someone bought the styrene copy in 1965, I'll drop my case. The vinyl has never been suspicious to anybody I've met until this now.

Helene Smith - controlled by your love
Those Lloyd (Reid's, Deep City...) were all vinyls ! Common, the styrene looks totally wrong for a 1965 release. A misspelled title is rather common on originals...

Helene Smith - controlled by your love
The bootleg is styrene with grubby sticked on labels while the original is vinyl with moulded labels. Both are black with silver lettering. bootleg: real one:

Willie Pickett on Eastern & Soul Pot How manies NOS found ?
Yeah and have you've seen some nice or good items from his last/running auctions ? Some ending prices are just out of this world. What's behind it or who are those stupid people with too much money (snipper's bid) ? I'm stunned because it's not about one record (over which many are after and the competition is so strong and the $ struggle is fearce) it's about many and some actually very easy to find anywhere at the right price...

lenis guess - working for my baby
I believe that the vinyl copy is a bootleg or a second issue maybe. The styrene is the real deal for sure.

2 Girls Splendors Sleep-Ers 45's
The Full Speed is a well known 45 that used to fetch over the hundreds few years ago while it got plays for the "funkier" side. But the real 'A' side deserves a real good listening. Street level wrenching girl soul and harmonies at it's best. Figure it out ! Overall condition is Ex. Listen to both sides; full speed.mp3 & look; PM me for details. Gradings used are M/Ex/Vg... through +/- Free P&P all over the world and extra £6 to have it registered. !!! SOLD !!! £35 free P&P all over the world - add £6 to have it registered ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Shades of Jades may not be Northern Soul, I don't know but is just too good with it's unexpected composition, minimalist arrangements and creative orchestration. Labels is as shown: suffered some water damage and discoloration. Listen; shades of jade.mp3 & look; PM me for details. red/gold SPQR issue label is a later issue even though they both share the same catalogue number but the later one DOES NOT have 'just ask me' on flip like the gold issue:

Different record, same title
- Have A Listen To This
Corrected- Have A Listen To This
Sounds dreadful as a Mango Jones 'ska la bomba' kinda thing and I find the wandering trumpet really annoying. But off course I never liked Marv Johnson 'come on and stop' in the first place so...- Arthur Wright R. I. P
See you when I get there and hear you in the meantime Mr. Wright !- len jewell: real or boot?
- Nelson Sanders on Rambler repro 45
Long story short; if it is not for the money, what is it for ? Pleasure ? Share that ! Just that ! Them record we love are rare and sometimes not hopefully. I'm not personally pointing you down man, but look and see all around, when you re-issue something (which I never did), you do try to dig out above the most that I should believe. Or... The excitement is always about music. Why not making a great LP compilation about Nelson Sanders and Co. if it was about ? Ever heard of anyone complaining about those with rarities issued on 'em ? Real 45's are what they are, others... vinyl is OK BTW ! - Have A Listen To This
