  1. I know a fair few TWATs, but what in particular is this one?
  2. If you look there are various threads on this somewhere , just do a search. Here's one another There are probably more
  3. Was it the executors of this guys estate who sold the collection or a beneficiary or family member. I think that's a bit of a flash way of explaining the more likely explanation. Ere, there's a pile of those bloody record things ( Dad , Fred, etc insert favourite) lifted from work years ago and did bugger all with after all these years. Nobody wants these nowadays , who can we off these to for a few quid. Must be some idjit out there
  4. Way to go Swifty, always a fave. Smooth as a gravy sandwich ( with or without chips) To everyone here Merry Merry an all that jazz. I had a lot of fun here, and fully expect a lot more in 15. Wishing the same to you all.
  5. So it looks like this was first, before the multi coloured one. and the Cody didn't get another run.
  6. So, if I understand you, it came out either 3-6 months before, or 3-6 months after the multi coloured?
  7. I've never seen one of these with this label, always the multi colored one. Have I just led a sheltered life ? Where does it fit in, 1st press? re-issue? Anyone know? The white sticker looks like a Demo sticker that has been inked out.

RIP Sad loss. After Laughter - After ? years of listening to it still does it from first to last. 3 mins of sheer genius. I just listened to it 3 times and listening as I type. Amongst those who if that was all they ever did in their lives, for me it would be enough. I would still owe them. Side note Of all the keyboard brilliance that Booker T did over the years that has to be one of my faves. So all in all all time top 10 ever track for me.
  9. I lost one or two in Paris & suburbs and 3 or 4 in "general" France before the penny dropped, admittedly a lot got through but still not good Fortunately none were worth a lot. Records I've sold privately there have only had one missing so it must be my luck of the draw.
  10. On a slightly related note I just sold my first 45 to France for a while and I didn't mark it as needing tracking as it used to be on the E-DELCON list of countries at EBay. Not anymore So it had to go off untracked to that pit of "lost " records that is rural France. Hopefully it will be ok, but here's the deal for those that need to know. https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/E-Delcon-NO-longer-supported-by-USPS-except-for-Canada/m-p/23316434#M379025 So I guess one more way they are trying to force people into the Global Rip Off pile
  11. I've never nor would ever go anywhere near the Global Shipping System not only for the fact that it costs a bundle but if EBay run it it's gotta be a disaster waiting to happen. Nor has ebay ever attempted to opt me in, thank f**k. In NYC my mailbox is 4x4x12 so its go down the PO and pick it up which was a pain but doable. Until one of the new posties tried to get one in the box, with oomph!! OOPs. So now I send them to the Mrs office. If anyone needs to take advantage of that let me know. Please don't if you buy a gazillion a month, but a few is fine. I'd be glad to send them on when you've got enough to make the mail worth while.
  12. FWIW I hope it stays in the UK, it should be there.
  13. I was working on this from the seller I am very sorry that this record is not up to snuff. I think I know where the error occurred. I had several copies of this Womack 45, and sometimes eBay will combine listings with multiple quantities, so that one buyer doesn't have multiple listings for the same item. Unfortunately this erases the grading that I had in the other listing. I understand you grade this at poor. I previously had it graded at VG-, with jukebox scuffing, gloss loss, and minor marks. I apologize that this happened, and I will be more diligent to make sure it doesn't happen again. Sounds like a very loose description of the dross that Chris is now the proud owner of. If the seller knows the record and it isn't at his house then it must be the one at Chris's, unless he has multiple crap copies. So now we know that it looks "VG-" and plays "Not at all -". Why would you want it back? If t'were me, Chris has paid and paid extra towards Campbell's Limo fund, so I'd either send him a good one if I had one and he wants it or a refund. If Chris wants to eat the 20 and chalk it up to experience I'd thank a God that I don't believe in. My retirement plans are on hold for the next 20 years or so, but once in a while you have to pay the price for screwing up and cough up. It's not like it's a grand or 10 we're talking about here I agree there are chancing pondscum out there but in this case it seems obvious that it isn't the case.
  14. I'm curious as to what he will do with it if he gets it back. Why would you want it back before issuing a refund if you know you sent it and it's f**ked. Hopefully it's not getting sold again? VG- or not
  15. Anyone know anything about this?
  16. Does anyone know if this has been picked up by anyone to be shown in the US? No sign as far as I can see. Anything in the works?
  17. Not sure where I heard this and have no idea as to it's kosherness but supposedly it was issued in the North East or West ( Can't remember which) USA only with this label before they started cranking them out to meet the demand. I may have to get me tin hat, but that's what I heard, somewhere, sometime.
  18. Didn't know the guy at all, but sincere condolences to all concerned. RIP. Little consolation I know, but, having fun with a bunch of people who care. There are a lot worse ways to go if you have to go.
  19. Signed. Disgraceful, but not surprising.
  20. Not convinced, I still think Pete sucks the most, but I wouldn't want to live on the difference I must admit If I can find it I'll put up the other side then we could go for the worst 2 sider, what's the other side of George like? No idea how to do it but maybe when there are a few more up here someone could set up a poll, for the worstest of the worst.
  21. No sweat, I'll take up that challenge. I think my guy is far worse than your guy. If you're good I won't put up the other side. I'm not very good at soundcloud an all that so hopefully the MP3 will play PJ IDWTC RAB.mp3
  22. Don't forget to bring PIES!! if you do
  23. Agreed Academy in Brooklyn ( Greempoint) has 4 boxes of 45s, nowt Northern and I'd like to think I pulled all that was worthwhile otherwise. Pretty much the same at Academy on 12th, few more but not great selection. Good luck at the Thing, fun digging if hope keeps you alive, Probably be dashed after an hour or so
  24. Ah well, clear case of SOSS then Stumble Ooops Splash Sorry
  25. When you've perused the offending prices, take them back for an um and an ah, then walk over quickly to the racks and put them back at random. Best you can do, and it does make you feel a bit better knowing he's got to find them again at least
