Tons of extracts from a host of sources including Ady Croasdell, Norman Jay, Ian Hebditch, and the very funny Terry Farley. dunno why the the chap who started this thread is so surprised, its what, 50 year old scene? awash with allot of older folk; teenagers dont bother with that stuff, they are too busy getting wrecked and getting off with each other, but once your over 30 its fair game, you know this... If you went to the States, they always have stuff like this, if you cant make money on the refreshments or the door, you sell the punters any old tat at the back of the room... I do love that toilet roll Jess! tat that you wipe your bum with, what could be a better flagrant waste of money, actually I need a new Mouse Mat, no not to wipe me arse with... Malcolm

Love Soul Source, the only thing I recently hate is New members sales, they join just to sell, dont contribute and some of them are simply crap to deal with, various points relating to this have been discussed.. m
-
Vote with your feet, just dont buy from them again, there are loads of new members on here that post only in sales, that dont get back, and are in my experience a night mare to deal with. You know you have a conversation with somebody on condition and all that only to find the chaps sold it, one guy told me 'Oh I didn't realise you were interested in buying the record' no I just do this allot with people I dont know, just message them to talk about the condition of their records.. unbelievable.. malcolm
-
Ive spoken to various dealers, some on here as to why they didn't have a web site, and this came up as a reason why they didn't, some just dont want to take hours updating, that and folk dont want to wade through pages and pages of records, which I'm not sure is proved, we all do it on eBay and the like. Christ we even buy books so we can pour over listings...Don't know why they just done put a decent search engine in, its not hard to keyword images / entries. must be the gap between the analogue and digital world eh! Malcolm

-
Seen this on a Jah Guidance LP on VP records, which is a JA record, and the Greensleeves in the You tube clip below, but did it get a 45 release anywhere? Sampled for 'Scientist - Plague of Zombies' which is very nice dub track, and again by Dick Whittington from Birmingham on his Rockers Hi-Fi - Push Push release in the 9ts, which is where I first heard Johnny's voice... love em all but I'd like Johnny Osbourne on a 45 if I can get it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1I6GE8jbbo0 Malcolm

Mal C replied to Godzilla's topic in Record Sales
amazing inst it, it was a tenner record for years and years... probably cheaper than that in the 7ts? Mal -
Was going to say the same on clay hunt, what a track, and for 30 quid too... The flip however, remember Dave Flynn mentioning it, played it at home and honestly, it's horrible.... But there you go, that's northern soul isn't it, some stuff just may not be your bag!!! The Fiestas is a nice 7ts track, lesser know as well.., M
-
First heard this on the soul supply LP ' under the street lamp' I think for allot of folk just it's inclusion on there was enough to want to get it, was with me....I loved the obscure sounding labels on the listing side.... Great Lp's Strange though, I bought the LP back then and then set about getting all the 45s on it again... That's kinda stupid really.,..laughs.., Not my favourite on that LP, but just can't bring my self to part with it... Mal
