depends entirely on how good your VG is and why the tune is rated VG. some peoples VG+ on here would barely make my F grade. and you cant make assumptions about other people and what they do or dont want. thats just plain wrong. plenty of people plump for lesser priced and lesser graded tunes to get more in their collection. and as a result actually like the line that its a djable quality

pointing out that your record is half the price of main dealers site or has been sold or listed for twice this price is fair game. it does help to sell things and thats what sellers want to do. if you are trying to use a dealers price to justify your own high price then thats altogether a different story. and one worthy of a moan if you are that way inclined. especially helpful tactic if you have multiple copies from a decent find to say this is going for 100+ quid on ebay and dealers sites, and ive got it 35 quid. these kind of posts are usually bargains from what ive seen.

maybe but this whole dealer's shtick seems, inexplicably, to bite the hand that feeds it. this just makes the seller look both foolish and greedy. if people fall prey then its their own fault really. but really will anyone? doubt it.

got one too. luckily the prices you can achieve on discogs are much higher than most places, ive found, especially on the under 250 quid tunes, so for me anyway its not going to matter much. suck it up. its a more brittle material for sure but today's hairline is definitely tomorrow's major problem. i had a dealer send me 12 very tightly packed styene tunes once, no bubble wrap or card not even the old favourite a few plastic shopping bags. unsurprisingly the outside few arrived with major issues and some of the inside copies lesser but pi==ed fingers could turn major. he told me they were pressing flaws (not mentioned in his previous chat before I paid) so back went the lot and a nice payday. anyone know if there was any upping of the quality of this material as the years went on? ive had some later 70s styrene tunes that have looked awful and play very very well considering.

I have a batch of 250 ish tunes in a metal 300 carry box mainly in the £3 to £10 bracket. Mixture of 60s 70s soul and a few represses with some reggae and as such would be a nice starter kit for someone thinking of making a discogs store for a bit of fun or retirement money.
