  1. Whatever the tax is it’s starting to cost long term wants and rare rebuys I may not see again for many years.
  2. A lot of decent stuff ends up in Japan, this I do know.
  3. I though that initially but wondered how much of the market we really are in the uk. Jason sells all sorts, his prices may dip for northern if at all but that would be it if suspect. There are plenty of other collectors in the world, some in the most obscure of places. Will be interesting to see what happens.
  4. I’m sure we’ve had this conversation before on here, me and you. Familiar ring to it. I do get bitten occasionally though. Bought a Copy of a disco tune I didn’t really like and made an ashtray out of it late one night. Five years on it almost hit 1000 quid. Did try selling the offending article as art halfheartedly. as someone who pilfered tunes from many scenes I guess I see the value in some things and buy them though don’t necessarily like them. Those get swapped mainly for things I do like.
  5. I buy a lot of records I don’t particularly like. My taste doesn’t rule the world and would never be disrespectful to other’s taste. But one thing I’m sure of is that things I’m really into other people hate so there’s and obvious reason for buying things you don’t like.

  13. Selling 30 or 40 copies of a WLD at a higher price can keep labels from folding when they are doing small runs of obscure music. Some are also sent to the label as a test press to establish if the mastering has been performed correctly. As a small label why would you chuck them or give them away. Many people buy them simply to support the label. I do if it is someone who’s releasing music I like. Dont like them? Don’t buy them. Pretty simple equation really.
