"her "Love Me Or Leave Me" on Sucess Express not a bad little cheapie if I remember rightly steve
  5. ya right Boba Fred Bridges....along with Lawrence Payton of the Tops...the other side was penned by 2 Brothers Of Soul Fred and Richard Knight again along with Lawrence. steve
  6. I'd say it's original...and the first press too! so much nicer those tangerine tangerines imo steve

I agree with Pete on that, in fact Pete, got my copy off you for I think 25 quid, and still in a UA sleeve (mind that was a few years back) AHBYH is one of my fav Ray Pollard records his vocal on it blows me away. As it's a plaki job, if ya after a copy make sure ya get one in at least Ex condition imo stev
  8. spins or not 20 quid for an issue in my book picked a demo up for a fiver a couple ov years back, always amazes me how a few spins of a record suddenly makes em rare! supose it's the old adege... pick em up before someone plays em! Or if ya too late wait for the price to get realistic, but then they dont!! O well keep buying the un-played then "Daddy O" on the flip makes this one of Golden World's must av double sided 45's imho steve
  9. would have thort 20 quid for Theresa Lindsey and anywhere between 50 - 100 for Ernie Marbray these days steve
  10. Issues say "You Can Work It Out" too! steve
  11. Nick, Delicates on Challenge came out July/Aug 1965 (going from the delta No. in deadwax) as ya know song co wrote by Bobby Sanders,(as was another of their Challenge 45's, the earlier "I Want To Get Married") Think Bobby took the group to kick off his Soultown label a year or so latter. hth steve
  12. Hi Roger, also this design steve
  13. agree there, A lot ov Candi's Muscle Shoals output was great, got "For You"... will put it in thread steve
  14. also plain white with blue writing label with no addy (an early one) Roger steve
  15. sounds good to me steve
  16. Id say one and the same Paul, Burgess's name turns up on so many class St Lawrence and other Chicago recordings He also had his own label "Down To Earth" think his son is following in his footsteps, tho on Trombone instead of trumpet.... unless theres 2 Burgess Gardners from chicago? steve
  17. agree wid ya Roger, got the address and all, also that 2nd scan of yours also appears to have the addy, tho as you say it seems cropped steve
  18. not sure if there are re-issues of this, but it should have the address round the bottom of the label. ya mamie galore with the split coloured label is from the 200 series that followed on from Satellite label the latter St lawrence are all pink I think. I know Johnny Sayles "I Cant get enough" has re-issues and the difference is the lack of Chicago address round the bottom. Pity ya got single sided demo, coz the tother side "Never let Your Love Grow Cold" is awesome imo steve
  19. ...as good as it gets Chris!!! ya know my dream would be to see Little Anthony over here showcasing a weekender, can you imagine the reaction he'd get bursting into "Better Use Your Head" The man has enough material to do the whole show, and still has the vocal ability to sound as good as he did back in the 60's. IMHO a true Giant of the music world steve
  20. Always wondered if they became another outfit Baz... flip a big fav ov mine too! with the quality of these 2 sides, they mustav cut more...surely! steve
  21. Flip their "California Soul" for a great Beat Ballad "It'll Never Be The Same" Billy Davis in fine form! agree no one seems to do a bad version of "What Does It Take" and I particularly like 5th Dimension's take on it (managed to find that on a Mexican 45!) Another of theirs that does it for me is their Motown single "Slipping Into Something New" steve
  22. Real ones on ABC... the DCP labels a boot steve
  23. didnt know that malc bout Swinging Soul Machine....one of the first 45's I bought! cheers! steve
