  1. Yes they are two different takes. The lyrics are different too if you listen closely. Its the Red and white one for me. I have both and they are different. Thanks Brian

  4. There are countless records out there that sell for big money now and were buttons 20-30 years ago. Its supply and demand and there are a lot of soulies out there. Its a brilliant record and the only surprise to me is that the prise hasn't risen sooner. Brian
  5. Thanks for the advice guys! Really appreciate it! Brian
  6. Hi there. I am looking for the market Value for the Constellations - I don't know about you in mint condition please. Thank you for any help. Brian
  7. I agree 100% It definately sounds unique to my ears and by definition stands out amongst the rest. For the record, that was my interpretation of the word novelty earlier. The word Novelty seems to have been taken negatively! Either way absolutely awesome but definately different and unique, love it! Just curious ? What was the reaction like for its first spin? Clint
  8. I've heard tales. Just adds to the legend. Very jealous! Clint
  9. You may have valid points about Cecil Washington there alright but I would still give my left 1 to have been there and hear/see it lift the roof off the place. A time and a place and all that... Sorry I love it! That brings it back to the Dj though, I often think what on earth made him play it? Its like it should'nt work but it just does. So yes it is a novelty in that respect but the ultimate in knowing your crowd. A genius bit of Djing that, a Master at work. Atb Clint

  11. Hey there. I understand where your coming from. Records grab people for different reasons. Twas just a generalisation as to when you hear records like this for the first time as to why Northern Soul is for you. I'm sure it would be many different records for you. If you have heard it a zillion times jeez I dunno, that sucks for you. But you are right! if I heard any record (good or bad) a zillion times, I would be fed up of it also. Personaly I have not heard it a zillion times so I personaly hope dj's still have the imagination to play it. Sorry ! For the record I don't judge a Soul record by production but then again thats personal taste I suppose. Atb Clint
  12. When you hear records like this for the first time its such an amasing feeling and you realise how special Northern Soul really is. Love it! Clint
  13. So Sorry! My reply was just an observation from the time. I completely missed that link. Never got the impression they were being sold. I stand corrected. That is a shame! Not what most would do but if they were left to him? I suppose it is his choice. Respectfully Clint
  14. I djed for Kevin at his last night shortly before they went away traveling, I'm farely sure the guy who helped Kev run the night is minding the records until he gets back. He djed with them that night 100% He was very honoured that the records were left to him, I don't think he sold them but I could be wrong. Hope this helps Atb n Ktf Clint
  15. Thats a rockin tune that! Nice 1 Clint
  16. When I'm in the eye of the storm in the middle of a night this record can take me to places others can't, Its just pure magic ! Personaly I'll never grow tired of hearing it. One of thee very best Atb Clint
  17. I don't think its trying to be anything other than a dance record so why judge it than anything other than that? Its fun n I love dancing to it. Its just deadly quack! Atb Clint
  18. All sorted now! Thanks everyone for the quick replies. Atb Clint

  20. I bought a James Shorter for €30 last week. £161.00! really? Its just lazy record hunting that. I love a good laugh at these prices though. Some people love spending too much money on records, I love them as cheap as possible. Atb Clint
  21. Awesome tune! Alot better than most big money tunes imho. Atb Clint
  22. The Nick Allen is Hardly £115? Really? Two lovely sides I admit! Surely it can still be bought alot cheaper than that though? Clint
  23. My Pal Niamh O'Donnell produced this documentary for Alley Cats, a very talented production company out of Derry Northern Ireland for the BBC. Their work on Foyle Side Rescue and The Undertones was first class also. Great documentary n good work Niamho! Clint
  24. This is mad! Surely you are gonna try and buy a record for as cheap as you can possibly get it and then if you decide to sell, sell for what you think is a fair price. Heck you may even sell it for an inflated price if you think its genuinely worth that. Hense some pieces go to auction. If you buy something at an inflated price thats a personal decision as is selling it cheaper than the perceived market value to make a sale. Ultimately its absolutely nobody elses business except the two interested parties! I collect records n I could'nt give a hoot if the market value of rare records drops effecting the value of my own records. In fact I hope it does so I can buy the ones I really want. I'd like to think I have enough sense not to waste money on a record that is not worth what I am payng for it and if I did decide to over spend thats my choice. If the collector is more concerned about their investment well then I say be more careful what you spend your money on. A wise man once said Any Idiot can be complicated, it takes real genius to be simple. Hullaballoooo Ktf Clint
