  1. This is on the same label aws the Fuller Brothers, Whispers etc, but considerably harder to find. Mine was £20 from Mr Plumb about 8 years ago.

Vicki Labatt not that rare. Moments a few of em around too.
  3. Hmmm sorry to spoil the party but always preferred the B side "I'll run your hurt away" an awesome slab'o'soul.

    I think 3-5
  5. have you got a link Mr C?
  6. Baggy northern - love it 3 before 8 also have to be added.
  7. theres a few v hard ones
  8. Moonshine now confirmed as Paul Curtis by Paul Mooney.
  9. No not really, it did sound good bellowing out at the Casino, but that's about it. Now we have solved the mystery for once and for all time to get back to northern soul
  10. Paul Curtis ALSO recorded for Decca so there might be some smoke in your pipe after all Paul

viwed as quite a tough record in the UK - you sitting on copies?
  12. Ok at least we know - and we also know that Pete Smith who wins all the pop quizs single handed was also wrong on this. Does ian Levine concur?
  13. So the newcastle connection holds water then?
  14. But seriously Paul as the person who started this all off by hijacking the thread from someone who wanted the record - I think we do NEED to know now WHO IS MICKEY MOONSHINE. I don;t actually care if it's someone from the New Seekers or Mike Batt at this point. I mean it is on three threads at least, and one of the great unanswered questions of the week along with the origin of life / the universe. I m an hour away from waking up the guys on the Wigan Casino thread, and asking one of them to call up Russ as he may know the true identity Mike's point is a good one though, as he does appear as a writer.
  15. anyone found out who he is yet?
  16. ....But it was 1974 D'Oh
  17. Levine say "No" it wasn't Chris Rainbow. Someone else says it wasn't Pip Williams cos he can't sing......so it's still a mystery
  18. Thanks Ian and Paul for your responses. So at this point we still don't know for sure it sounds?
  19. I am not sure what is going on here, but always felt the mauve version was punchier. It's not 60's just more of an earethier 60s feel to it.
  20. Ivor Bird I have asked Ian Levine if he can shed any light on this. Russ might know too.
  21. Ian a pop question for you. Do you know who Mickey moonshine was? Some say Chris Rainbow, others say Paul Nicholas. Wondered if you knew with your connections?
  22. We need to know who he was. Once heard he was from newcastle, but scotland is close enough, so who knows.
  23. It's all in bthe matrix numbers.....my friend I actually like this - one of the best pop records played on the northern scene - actually tried to re-create a soulful sound with all those strings etc.
  24. I don't have a beer belly so will tuck it in, in future Gok.
  25. Is Martyn still a 100% 60s man?
