If the band don't want it put out, how does that make booting it defensible? I'd say that makes it even worse....- Palace
Well I have to say something on this subject I guess - "Team of the 80s" = largely Venables hype and crepe, so no change there. One good season, and that was that.- Rocket Nighter Mar 27th London
Wot, no Ian Levine?- Bobby Womack Manship Auction
Can we throw our beer over the next DJ that plays either of these dreadful records?- What Was The First Record You Heard Or Danced To
...and do you remember those long train journeys back south on a sunday morning? Speaking of which do you ever know what happened to Dave from Reading that also used to go to Wigan, and worked on the railways? Steve- Cleaning Records - An Update
Presumably this "harmless" 'dried bleach' does not damage the stylus then?- What Was The First Record You Heard Or Danced To
Got into soul via the radio as a kid; got into northern when it was en vogue in the mid 70's when I heard some at my local disco....all very commercial stuff though like "A man like me", "I get the sweetest feeling", and "Heaven must have sent you".etc....I am sure a lot of people evolved into the northern thing.- Eula Cooper

I reckon your mate sold it too cheaply - but heck, what do I know?- Mr Tee £
Hole Card has to be upwards of 6-700 and maybe more at this point.....Great record - in the box for Yarmouth as well!!! T.Y.A - this is seriously 'ard, and one that does not currently grace the record box chez moi. I thought Sam had got one a year or two back, but then found he'd emi'd it off of a CD Lovely record too.- Help
I actually remember them turning up with a box full of the things one night at Wigan....I seem to recall they did sell rather quickly - because lots of kids were into that type of sound then. What I'd like to know is how much royalties did Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent get for that little lot....- Eula Cooper
Of course - how remiss of me to not be able to remember the title - thanks for that bladeforlife....- Mr Tee £
I agree on the rarity Christian - having the releases I will give them a listen to compare....- Across 110th Street Uk Dvd Release
the DVD is now out in the UK so you can see this classic blaxploitation film with the Womack soundtrack once again....Starring Anthony Quinn and Yaphet Kotto this one's on a par with Pam Grier's "Foxy Brown" (soundtrack Willie Hutch of course) which got a UK release a while back. Now where is "Ain't it Hell up in Harlem"? cool!- Oh My Good Lord
Does that include the red ones? Brimstone Ingram, Jimmy Green and Leo's Sunship? We mustn't forget the red ones.....both on 7 and 12......- Eula Cooper
Try (Tragar) Shake daddy shake (Atlantic) Let our love grow higher (Note) Beggars can't be choosy (Note) I think there's another one but I can't remember it right now, and there is snow in the record room.....- Oh My Good Lord
Do you have "Get him off my conscience" or "Get it off my conscience" - both exist, and to have the full set Andy you have to have both of them!- Eula Cooper
crumming = very good drumming btw- Eula Cooper
I think that's about right. "Try" is very similar in style to the one she did on Atlantic (which is about £5), but she's one of those artists who never really made a bad one. 4 or 5 records in all, and all good. "Let our love grow higher" has some of the most amazing crumming you'll hear on a record imvho- Fave Blue Eyed Soul Record
- Who Gives U Extra ?

George Soule on Fame. Grrreat!- Fave Blue Eyed Soul Record
- Ebony Alleyne
She was certainly a Levine protogee.. - The Hamilton Movement
