  1. As already stated both sides listed in Pat Brady sales list. With respect it is not you or I that decides what is Northern. That is down to the DJ and the dancers. Not that anyone would ever dream of playing this out, but it's there all the same. If you want to split hairs you could say it's the B side of a Northern track. Wouldn't worry yourself too much about this being anyones's fave record, most of our members have better taste than that.
  2. It's not even soulful. Or anywhere near soulful. What I really need is for Pete Smith to admit this is (in his opinion) a worse record than the Carstairs, because this IS the worst record ever!!!
  3. Been some talk of late about this record and that being ear damage, but with thanks to the mighty members of Soul Source we are now able to hear possibly the worst Northern track ever! First saw this in a Pat Brady list circa 1990 - The Four Chaps - True Lovers/Will You Or Wont You. Therfore a legit Northern track I'd say. Plug side is really not bad, but the flip can't be the same group? As a mate of mine said, it sounds like a bunch of East End barrow boys mucking about... See what you think, but I defy anyone to come up with anything worse than this! Plug Side (not bad) MP3 clip of b side 'Will You Or Wont You (very very bad). The_Four_Chaps___will_you_or_wont_you.mp3

Shame, sad news. Remember he teamed up with Hendrix post Experience days.
  6. Gonna find this fecker if it's the last thing I ever do.. Figure out the poll thingy n'all..
  7. Don't thinks there's been an occasion in three years you've not come back with an answer or a soundfile request mate and thanks for that. And you're younger than me! How's that work then? Must be a northern thing.. Pete also and as already mentioned Kev, Ady & Tim..
  8. I did immediately about 5 times. Realized what I'd done in 1000'ths of a second so there was barely a blip on the floor. Wasn't aware you were so deeply scarred by this tragic event.
  9. Pete if you can find an old obscure Kenny Lynch 45, you'd be able to find a soundclip of this I'm sure. If you've never heard it before, it'll make ZZ & the Carstairs sound like Don Varner & The Mello Souls.
  10. Aye always loved this. Last heard on NYE Soul or Nowt room. After many ales, eagerly strode over to the decks (both of which were spinning) and hit the stop button to check the label, but of course it was the track that was playing! Immediately hit start and fecked off sharpish.
  11. ... You don't know like I know ..? That's not a statement btw.. That's the title of the only bad track on the album (imo). Ain't No Big Thing - Yet to be mentioned is also the version I reckon.. Superb.
  12. Live acts are the worst for over running their time. Some supposing their collective worth is greater than all of the jocks moulded together.
  13. 50/80 quid - a lurking Ken may tell you about his Dutch copy on Phillips..
  14. I cried for you another fave ..
  15. Best soul radio on the internet I've come across in a long while, be lost without it. You fellas are doing a grand job and long may it continue. KTF, Simsy.

  18. Without wishing to sound confrontational, no he doesn't.
  19. Oh yeah that's right! 1000 pardons. Not overly familiar with that number due to initial hearings leading me to the conclusion that it was a little bit crap. Did try and listen to the clip beforehand on Soulclub, but strangely (at work at least) I get error messages on about half the tracks on there. Dunno if anyone else has this problem? Fluffy Falana. What kind of name is that for a geezer?
  20. Ann D'andrea - Don't Stop Looking - JAMIE From Oxfam in Surbiton, Surrey years ago.
  21. Do you have gradings for any of these mate?
  22. Sadly an ever increasing number of Soulclub track will not play on my pc at work.. but did Fluffy Falana ever mention her 'little cottage' during the song?
