Records Considered "played Out" (I.e. Too Often)
Attention span is the issue you're raising here.

Records Considered "played Out" (I.e. Too Often)
The idea was to list records that are considered played out that are actually really, really good. Not to list records that you're sick of hearing. Why am i bothering to explain FFS Two more; Ruby Andrews - Just Loving You - Beautiful tune! Bottom & Company - Gonna Find a True Love - great tune but reached a stupid price for some reason, a 25 quidder all day long.

Records Considered "played Out" (I.e. Too Often)
I'm sorry, I don't get it. Just thought it was a more positive thread than looking for the worst of records. Wasting my time again I suppose.

The Michigan Move - Phonetics Band
If my mind serves me (and it might not) Andy Rix used to play this (I heard it when he played in London) and I think it was unissued (acetate). (and £50 for a common boot is ludicrous IMHO)

50's/60's Style Radiogram
How weird! That exact model is on eBay [here] - £25 but it is in London and finishes today.

Doni Burdick On Soul King 403
3 or 4 years ago some of these changed hands for quite silly money - over £100 Here's one from popsike: https://www.popsike.com/NORTHERN-SOUL-DONI-BURDICK-CANDLE-SOUL-KING/4854456107.html My dynamics cost me less than that I think I sold mine for about 75 at the time, not sure. 15-30 is about right though, no idea why it went so high.

Eli Paperboy Reed
I thought most of it was nicked to be honest. Nice but thin is my opinion. But I am old and grumpy.

Collection On Ebay
There is a small collection on ebay [here] which has been bid up to £1200 from a £1 with 5 days still to go. I've had a look and for the life of me I can't see what is in it that makes it worth that much. Seems to be grapevine, casino classics and a load of 70's "re-issues", etc. I'd put it at about £200? Can anyone enlighten me?

Larry Clinton ...issue...wtf ?
I saw one at Lowton when I DJ'd there ages ago with Jo W, didn't realise it was such a rarity (ignorance is bliss!) What makes me chuckle about these auctions are the people who put the first bid in; the first bidder bid $50, like he's going to ge it for that.

Problems With Buyers In Italy ?
I think that is very true, and it also works the other way for records coming into the UK. Postal workers know the system and they know that if a packet is shown on the system to have left the UK then it can be misappropriated if it isn't tracked all the way. Similarly, if a packet is not shown as having arrived in the UK, it too can be misappropriated. Someone has a Troy Dodds of mine that disappeared in this way. The tracking shows it leaving the states but never appearing in this country. The international mail services available from the UK are somewhat ludicrous to be honest: "International Signed For" - tracked to point of departure from UK then not tracked until delivered when a signature is obtained. "Airsure" - tracked all the way then not signed for. Why not? Neither service is guaranteed. So effectively the mail services are admitting that they cannot deliver reliably.

Problems With Buyers In Italy ?
I have sold a few bits to Italy and never had a problem. If I haven't dealt with someone before and don't know them, I do have an ask about before sending anything pricey. Also I always send airsure now so it is insured, too many horror stories about to take the risk. Sometimes I take a hit on the postage, sometimes if it is a cheap item I'll ask for the extra postage and if they don't want to pay I refund them through paypal. If you want to pm me the name I'll check if I have dealt with them or know them. Cheers Paul

Ever Had Someone Refuse To Sell You 45's?
If this is the guy with all the LP's in the front and no 45's on view, I've had the "pleasure" of trying to look through his stuff as well. I'm quite sure he doesn't want to sell records. I looked through a few LP's and each time I moved to another section he followed me tutting and straightening up the row I'd just looked at. I asked him if he had any 45's and he said "Yeah, thousands. What record do you want?" Already p*ssed off, I made up a few and he went and looked for each one. Meanwhile I moved a few LP's around. Tw*t.
