  1. Anytime. Here is the link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YVONNE-VERNEE-JUST-LIKE-YOU-DID-ME-NORTHERN-SOUL-45-MONSTER-RARE-ORIGINAL-/290801411171?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item43b51d6463
  2. Some good ones from the 80's at Stafford on my Flickr page that Neil Salter took..... https://www.flickr.com/photos/crosseyedbear/sets/72157630679874788/
  3. It was said at the time it was breaking big it was a late 60's recording but not pressed until '73. Dunno where the info came from, maybe Flynny can expanding on it.
  4. Ian, really useful also do card ones hat work out a just under a could of quid apiece, you will have to work out which one you would need from the measurements. https://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/uk/html/onlineshop/industrialcard/indCardBoxes.php
  5. The fact that it is a 60's recording yet pressed later. Some thought it was pressed especially to dupe, Kegsy giving one reason of thought at the time but not necessarily by the person mentioned I might add.
  6. I didn't say ou was lying, I simply said that what you said isn't always the case. I don't know anyone else who has really useful boxes in their garage who has suffered with condensation. I don't use poly lined sleeves, I only use a paper sleeve inside a card sleeve, stored inside a really useful box. They aren't packed tight either. You can get all the problems you state stored inside in a temperature controlled environment when packed too tight etc. And I suppose card boxes are damp proof. As for font of truth I could ask the same of you, can't you debate or give an opinion with coming out with crap like that? No wonder folk had enough on here.
  7. Never had a problem with condensation nor damp in he really useful boxes, been in the garage over four years nearly some of them. Not just records but old magazines, flyers, tapes etc, o problem whatsoever. There is no temperature control either in there, the temperature is what it is. The last four years has seen some of our coldest temperatures as well as some record hottest temperatures as well. Not sure where you got that information from but it isn't true.
  8. Many considered it dodgy and still do.
  9. Mi-Val the label btw. The press was considered dodgy by many.
  10. nowt to do with being a soul snob, can't abide the record, irritated me upon first hearing.
  11. Yep we all have different taste which is no bad thing. It's just one record I hate with a passion for some reason.
  12. One of the worst records ever. Just a few known copies. 1967 recording I think but wasn't released until '73 ish if memory serves me correctly. Big record for Dave Flynn at the Dome early 2000's. Terrible terrible record. The UK release you are on about is a boot.
  13. Looks like an essential purchase. Cheaper on the Ace records site than Amazon as well.

  16. One of them is with his wife, I forget which one. I will ask Mouse/Dave unless one of them answers here.

  19. Something that might be of interest to some of you. Ernie McKone and Michael J McEvoy in the studio preparing the backing tapes for Darrow Fletcher for his visit to these shores. Here you can see them preparing how it should be done etc before the band is assembled to lay down the tracks. Both Ernie and Michael have impressive CV's both working with major recording artists, films and TV and Michael receiving nominations for Emmy's and actually winning one. Michaels homepage http://www.michaeljm....com/index.html Ernie's credits... http://www.allmusic....ne-mn0000805363 Thanks to Mouse and Boxy for the recordings.
  20. The excel document I have for a database has over 20,000 lines I think? I have A&B on one line in separate columns though, not as two lines.
  21. Not heard anything yet Richard. He doesn't seem to active on his facebook page of late.
