  1. It was around 92, certain of that. My mate was at Tim's when he got the three copies. One went to Rob, one went to Gasher I think, I'm not sure what happened to the other. I don't recall hearing this in the 80's. Rob M at the Claremont would have been early 90's too. I'll ring my mate later and get the story.....
  2. Did your two copies have labels reversed or right way Nev? Sure the last one listed for Andy had labels right way??
  3. Gotta pretty much agree with you Nick. Not seen many in recent times via dealers and boxes.
  4. According to the booklet I posted in the above topic the first Grapevine release was May 1977 and hat acetates didn't appear till the following year, dunno if this helps?
  5. Cheers Aid. Would like to know a sold for cash via dealer price as I think that is more reflective of a current price personally. Used to be a solid £500 or so but then some turned up or there seemed to be a few crop up here and there.
  6. Either way a great record. What price nowadays, know some turned up a while back. https://soundcloud.com/chalkster/ad-libs-i-dont-need-no-fortune

  9. Dave Rimmer's site has it down as a 1977 release. I've also seen it previously listed as mid 70's release?
  10. Nice one Bob, wasn't sure what you meant, especially when you repeated it.
  11. I've seen the line ups Bob. Do you mean that almost every line up were mainly men as in 4 blokes and one female? Or all men most of the time? cause looking at the line ups' that doesn't ring true. There was female members of the group from 1964 since they were reformed from the Creators almost right through?
  12. Yes but were are talking about the remake which is set in Detroit during the Motown era. I've just read the remake is inspired by the Supremes?? Will have to see the film to see what comparisons can be drawn from any act during that era. I can't remember seeing the original either so I'll go looking for it to watch sometime.
  13. What about Mary Ann Thomas? Eller Weas Little as well. She was Harry Starr's wife.
  14. I also think the label design is too early for 67. Still want to see a scan? My guess it was recorded same time or around the same time as Peggy Did/Thats What I Want in New York.
  15. If you read the Alan Senior article I attached in which he met Bella it states there are unreleased items.
  16. I take it with them being a trio from Detroit it is based on the Supremes?

When you consider the vast number of 45's released from every genre then what he talks about is highly probable, bet there's not much soul.
  18. I understand what you are saying John but I would think with the basic design of the label it was before Thats What I Want, LIAP/JITNOT and the other releases on the design that we know best. I'd like to see what the label reveals with a decent scan, its been a few years since I've seen one.
  19. I would say Dear Santa is before Dec 1967. Has anyone got a scan they can post, it is nothing like the Hope that LIAP b/w JITNOT is like or even the "first" release by Syng. Hope is plain block font across the top if memory serves me correctly.
  20. Hope 2052 Loneliness Is A Pleasure b/w Dear Santa. From 1965 and the label colour is red not orange.
  21. An attachment I posted long time ago from Echoes by Alan Senior.....
  22. FB is. Nightmare for them. You are usually in he same groups and they simply post their lists and links to all the groups they are members.
  23. Best of luck to the new team, hope you all enjoy it.
  24. Three is a few dealers who spam every group possible with sales/website links. Annoying when you see the same in half a dozen groups and more in some cases. I understand times are tough and a living has to be made but the spamming has he opposite effect IMO and I tend to ignore them.

Surprised it was n your sales for so long at hat time Sean. Around turn of century, early 00's it was quite indemand, Dome, Drunken Monkey etc. As said it has been around for years, since the late 80's at least.. I'm also with Nev, anything good in the record is spoilt by he annoying "chick chick".
