  1. I've already said they come from Luckey Davis himself. So no issues really with licensing etc. They only issue is what is being asked for them. He offered some to me a while back, said he had 6 left after selling 10 to someone in France. I never saw what one looked like back then as I didn't follow up on the offer. He want a fair bit for each copy. Who is the seller from Darlington in the ebay listing? The ebay listing btw says "SPECIAL PROMO COPIES ISSUED BY MR LUCKY AKA LUCKEY JAMAL DAVIS".
  2. Mike if I had sufferd in a deal, i.e. didn't get what I paid for or wasn't as described I would say something and I wouldn't give a t*ss how wonderful they are, that is no excuse for bad business. But I would do all I could to sort with the seller before going public on here and I would also leave a negative in feedback. If I'd paid £60 for a record described as ex+ but suffered with cue burn AND had a hairline crack I definitely would sort it with the seller. I'd definitely let everyone know as well.
  3. Again, can those who are posting YOUTUBE clips please TYPE in the actually artist and title. Many of those viewing on mobile devices or via a work PC can't see what it is. Thank you.
  4. First chance I've had as been away all week with work, just downloading now Mark and will listen on one of the car journeys this weekend
  5. You shouldn't have to pay extra though should you? If it is advertised as whatever grade that is how it should arrive. I can understand your reasoning but like I say you shouldn't have to. I think most by now know how the bad graders are and who the good graders are. If you know them as a person you can usually get a good feeling as to how they will behave as a seller as well.
  6. Excellent topic. I'm just starting to buy more LP's, they have really never interested me in the past for some reason. 45's will probably go in near future and I will collect solely LP's, some good recommendations here

  11. There's another version by Fred Bridges. Also the version that is unissued that Ady plays as Luther Ingram, best of the bunch IMO.

One listen and it is plain to see (or hear) why it never took off. As John said girl group, too poppy sounding.

  15. It is about time the insults, simply because someone else doesn't share the same views were knocked on the head. By all means comment on the record but why drag the conversation down by insulting anyone who doesn't care for it?
  16. Brilliant Ian epididymus.....you couldn't make that name up, sounds like something Ken Dodd would call one of the Diddy Men

It's The Three Degrees - Tales Are True. Can anyone posting videos from Youtube please type in the artist and title for the benifit of those at work and those viewing via mobile devices. Many videos can't be played via mobile devices nd many companies block sites like youtube. If nothing else it will generate some discussion.
  18. I think if I read correctly it is a sporting term, Darts (if you can call darts a sport). "Good arrow" as in good shot, or good one.
