They also wrote the Likely Lads and Porridge. But they have a great story already and as the article in link says as long as they stick to the facts they can't go wrong. They don't need to make anything up, plenty in Cooke's life to make a bloody good film.

Hurry Don't Linger and Come On Back, (two previous releases) was 1968. I'd assume this one same year or early 69.

Again as for never being a £150/£200 record, two years ago on ebay $358. Other price of $208 in 2006, $319 in 2007 & $598 in 2008. Popsike you only have to look at plenty of records and you can see there is no consistency in the prices. When bidding on records you can take all leave of your senses, done it myself (luckily I finished up losing) as I bet have many of you who use ebay. I try and stick to set sales these days.

Plenty of examples on auctions, not just JM, of too many with either too much money or no sense...or both. It is their money at the end of the day but it does f--k it up for other collectors who want a particular record at a sensible price.

it is about but no demand, mainly for the reason Pete says, too stop start. Had one in box for ages with little or even no interest in it. I'll have to check to see if it is still in there. Manship books it at £75. Craig Moerer has a vg one at $60.

I remember seeing this for less than a ton, then around £150, inside the last ten years as well. Then when one was sold for I think £400 two or three years ago most were shaking their heads and shouting "fools".

Bout £40 I think.

One I also used to spin late 80's early 90's. Other occasional spins over the years too. As said never really had it's day

There might be the interest for another Lifeline but it's finding the right venue with a decent amount of rooms at the right place and a gap in the calendar.

Might have missed it but I've already said it was pressed somewhere between Nov and Dec 1969 according to the Monarch chart.

I'm sure there are two or three tapes of Steve's in the garage from this period. When I get the chance I will dig them out.
