It was me who asked about him Dave. Glad to know both Dawn and Nick doing well. Hopefully he will make it up to Lifeline in the New Year.

considering I don't send cards Just think if the boot was on the other foot and someone sold you a carver of a cover up and you find out it is off a cd...you wouldn't be very pleased if you are totally honest, I wouldn't be. But at the end of the day the worst thing you can do is post a sound file of a record covered up on here, it will be uncovered in no time, as you found out to your cost.

It's that rare on either label and so indemand I suppose it's a case of what someone is usually willing to bid at the time of a sale. Was also told the Palladium were the later release?

There have been bigger and rarer (and better) records than this uncovered on soul source. I do agree it isn't right getting carvers done of a cd track and flogging them to fellow soulies

can't remember but don't think it was a great deal that it sold for. no sign of it on popsike or collectors frenzy.

does that mean he has to play a few records twice to fulfill an hours Dj commitment or does he just cut his set short cause he run out after twenty

It is often out of the promoters hands when it comes to lighting, it is often the venue owner who states how dark/light it will be.
  21. Plenty don't even use ebay and plenty have stopped using ebay. It's not always the best indicator for prices. Linda Jones hardly a scarce record is it. Some prices are dropping or maybe just finding their right price after being over priced or rather some paying daft prices, but many records are holding their price and in plenty of cases fetching more than they are worth.

Hi Wayne, I remember it from mid 80's but couldn't remember who etc. Seen it now and again over the years for sale/auction, scarce record.
  23. I for one have no wish to hear it out, at Lifeline or anywhere else. It's ok for what it is, pretty good actually but it ain't all-nighter material IMHO. But each to their own. There's plenty of good 60's and 70's that deserve spins long before stuff like this.

Who and where was this first played. First recall hearing it in the mid 80's and it was alos on one of the tapes Nick Brown did (how's he doing these days) Drivellers Delights.
  25. Think Jimmy Tigg is a great record but not one you would really play out unless in some laid back down tempo room. Sean Hampsey played it at an afternoon session at one of Lifeline weekenders.
