An All-nighter
Don't be fooled by what people say on forums about wanting to hear something different at an all-nighter. Seen it time and time again on here about how fed up they are and when someone does put on such an event they never turn up, too comfy in their armchairs

depends who is buying the boots. Sold a Tomangos boot on ebay for tidy sum and the buyer was prepared to go much higher. Generally £10/£15.

Help
It's Frankford Wayne. Tomangoes should be vinyl with moulded label andf have a nashville matrix stamp ijn the run out for it to be an original. Epitome Of Sound, what colour is the label? sounds like a bootleg with that delta number. There is also a three figure stamp underneath the label which you should be able to feel on the original.

Am I Mistaken?
I know who you mean, there was also with him much of the time one of the lasses from Emmerdale and another lad from Hollyoaks(?). Can't remember the names but was introduced. They used to come along to Sheridans quite a bit. Sure Paul S will tell us more.

An All-nighter
An all-nighter where the DJ's have the freedom to play some of the 100's of quality northern soul from across the board, not the across the board the majority of promoters claim to be. There's loads of records out there without the need for repeating a track 2 or 3 times a night or sticking to the same old same tired playlists that nighter are generally suffering from. Loads of records oldies and newies that should be getting played but don't because most of the (wannabe) DJ's are playing the same stuff!!! Lets see some imagination used for once at all-nighters in 2008!!! Also want a return to midnight starts and a warm up at a local venue first. Too many nighters decvoid of atmosphere with no one dancing for the first three hours until everyone has said their hellos and taken whatever dutch courage they need to get them on the dance floor.

Righteous Brothers
It's from the LP Soul Out on Verve. Old Jack Montgomery cover up from Stafford. Shouldn't be too hard to get a copy, £20/£30 maybe cheaper on the bay. Four or five other good tracks on the lp too.

The Hypocrisy Of Northern Soul?
Whats the buying of (in the vast majority of cases) failed and second hand records got to do with royalties? If some are that concerned about royalites maybe everytime they purchase a record they should donate 4 or 5% of what they paid to the artist if they can be traced or to the artist benevolent fund or whatever it is the recording industry has. I wonder how many would do this As for cover ups. How many time are we gonna argue this one? If the DJ had gone to the trouble to seek out these records in the first place then I doubt they would get heard and even when they are uncovered (they don't stay covered for ever) I doubrt it will benifit the artist at all as more often than not these days they the record is very obscure. Besides the DJ hwo made the effort to find these records is entitled IMHO to a bit of exclusivity whilst everyone else (if it's good enough) works out what it is and finds a copy. There are ways to try and do your bit if you are that concerned, buy the cds that companys like Kent etc produce, don't support the bootleggers and support the artists when they make a visit over here. you will find that most of the hypocrites are those that do the preaching!!!
