  1. vinyl demo boots...yep
  2. The real ones are ZTSC stamped and on styrene...issues and demos. Boot is on vinyl.
  3. Not the Topics, different group, although don't think they had anything issued. One of the acetates is uncredited I think but both Bernard Williams and Blue Notes, pretty certain about that....one 7 inch and one 8 or ten inch
  4. Take it that was a reference to me First off the question was why someone would pay so much for a Ringleaders in TALK VINYL. I gave my opinion...just like you do on numerous occasions. If this was in sales I wouldn't say anything but as it was a discussion about the Ringleaders in another forum why shouldn't I be able to say what I think? Is there owt in the post yet?
  5. yep...thats the one I was thinking off but I'd also had a few beers It's on one of the acetates of Tears Tell The Whole Sad Story (Needless To Say), the one Rob Thomas owns I think. Can't remember whats on the flip of the one Kitch owns.
  6. thinkin of wrong acetate Ted
  7. got the acetate/studio cut somewhere, sounds so much better. anyone got the Rags To Riches from the acetate?
  8. Bloody Tescos packed...have folk got nowt better to do than shop Lew Kirton - Come On With It - Marlin sublime 70's soul JJ Daniels - Mr. Lonesome - SureShot Attractions - Why Shouldn't A Man Cry - Bell Bill Sampson - Stronger And Wronger - Motion William Hunt - Would You Believe - Streamside
  9. The last two were Admirations - Don't Leave Me and Chico Holiday - Follow The Sun. More later but I'm off to tesco's, should be quieter

Used to have a 70's record (or was it 80's ) by Carl Weathers - You Ought To be With Me (Mirage). Same Carl Weathers who played Apollo Creed in Rocky etc?

Antellects is far better record..I wouldn't turn one down Compared to Joey Lady In Green is as good as it gets
  12. Ringleaders were from Saginaw, Michigan. Willie Hawkins, Vandy Lane, Edgar Donahue & Brent Anderson.

Ey up Ian, the question was "...flirted with Soul Music". Has Joey De L ever flirted with Soul Music
  17. Not only did Soul Bowl find 100's of these it also sold well locally over in the States. Personally wouldn't pay anymore than £50, not rare by any stretch of the imagination.
  18. Seen Pete the odd time or two, last time was at Half Time Orange last time I went. Not sure but think he could be living Leicester way now. A mate of mine, well old mate, not seen him for years, recorded every Richard Searling show on Hallam, dunno if he recorded any prior to Richard's show.
  19. 4005 - Big Tim & The Empires - Cheaters Never Get Anywhere / My Girl's Prettier Than Your Girl Thought this one was never issued? Anyone ever seen one? Have seen and know where the studio acetate is but never actually seen an issue/demo.
  20. Said it before the slower version by Tonny Hymes (same guy) on Azbill is the better version though. Far rarer though with as far as I know just a few known copies.
  21. UK...it's a re-issue isn't it
  22. Had a maroon and pink one in the 80's.
  23. one from the days of Stafford covered up as the Ambassadors.
