  1. Why? You can get one made for 30 quid
  2. Show time 26th May 2022
  3. If it is the one that looks very much like the original then this sale price isn't the first time, it has sold for more. I sold one a few years ago for 200. Plenty look what is playing on the deck but how many take a closer look?
  4. it is always been the case if you use boot/bootleg the sale will get pulled. EMI, 70s pressing and carver are the words of choice or something similar, even not original.
  5. Is there anything that hasn't been carved that is in the public domain?
  6. Maxine Brown big fave on the mainstream scene and always has been. Chimes was only a couple of years ago give or take it was still £15, is still up for sale every week by some chancer wanted 100 quid plus. TSU T, same with Chymes, the crossover, chill out venues are on the rise and these records are ideal for those. They are all floor fillers, guaranteed and for not a lot of money in comparison to the big ticket items.
  7. I’m gonna have to start going to a “normal” night soon to escape the divs. Its becoming more and more cringeworthy how the media are shoehorning northern into tv etc. it is far from representing the scene and just make a mockery of it.
  8. It has been a £150 record for years and was in every sales box until recently. £211 about right IMO.
  9. The price has been rising for a while for some reason. Darren Brown sold one for £700…has Butch been reactivating it, barmy price if you ask me.

My second visit and another top night with a great selection from all the Djs. Great friendly crowd as well. A venue highly recommend. Looks like I have to go next month as well 🤪 Thanks to Simon for his hospitality once more as well.
  10. Really sad. Paul was a gent, really good lad and a big supporter of the rare soul scene. R.I.P. Paul
  11. I love the AP cover up, always have since first hearing it many moons ago. I asked on the discogs page the source linking Al Scott with Allan Scott. It would appear if they have the same surname then that is good enough 🤣 A member on here has met Al Scott of Genuine fame, before the record was uncovered so didn't know who they were talking to. If he reads this he may comment.
  12. Jeez, Soul Thing, that's just as bad if not worse. If it wasn't so rare it wouldn't have been given a second play
  13. Prestwich one of the places I remember it taking off.....
  14. Last night's show 19th May
  15. It's been around years but it is only in recent times when the quality control department closed that it became a popular play.
  16. Should be in these pages somewhere then
  17. The Allan Scott is cheap. Took years for me to find out what it was, played it out covered up at Lifeline etc.
  18. and one no one else has ever seen
  19. Last nights show (12th May 2022) with me in the studio playing some recent, new and upcoming releases.
  20. John said the same in discussion at Cleethorpes, anything with a copies that weren't selling went in the packs.
  21. The date of 1976 is written on the label. I don't know where whoever entered the date on 45cat got their info from? It is obvious to me what John meant. Probably not the kinda record for 1976 most were looking for I guess.
  22. I think it is referring to it release year although I believe it was from 1978 and not when Sam was playing it. Sam biggie in the 80s, may have been at Snaith in early 80s but certainly getting spins at Rock City.
