I Love Ebay
fosland is a member on here now. I can't believe he seriously thinks this is a genuine original so the conclusion must be he is doing this on purpose . It's sad to see particularly as he makes them private auctions so I cannot e-mail the bidders to tell them  Come on fosland lets have your rationalle for this one.

Every Tune Played In A Set
The Neighbourhood put out a cover up special with one of the fanzines three or four years back. There was a prize for anyone who could name all the real tracks and artists. No one got close . Mind you Roly put it together so hardly a suprise there . Loads of good feedback though

Not The Dj
I, unlike many regular contributors to this site, still have lots to learn. So if the DJ is playing something new (or something old I haven't heard before) I'd like a clue or two as to who / what it is. There is no need to tell me that Denise LaSalle sings Love Reputation or that it is from Chicago or whether it is Chess or Tarpon, issue or demo but intellegent use of the mic is better for me at least than none at all. Just my opinion and I know I am as guilty as anyone else of the pointless introduction but I am trying to get better.

Crazy Things Dj`s Say On The Decks
I remember one evening being asked (whilst playing George Freeman) "for gods sake will you play something fast?" OK I said and put on the Vondells. The woman who had asked for "something fast" didn't dance so I couldn't resist saying "I played that because I was asked to play something fast I didn't realise she meant to ask me to 'play something I know' " I did feel bad about that but only for a second or so

Why Do You Collect?
- Most Overpriced Record
Has to be the Oxford Knights as Gene has said. Has come down a lot but just how many copies have turned up in the last 12 months.- Andrew Jefferies - Slipped Into A Groove - Queen
I was talking to a friend in the states who has sold half a dozen of these to different buyers in the UK over the last month or so. So I thought someone must be playing it out and about unless he was stringing me a line but I don't think so. I don't have a sound file but yes it is the green one from Chicago.- Which Record Do You Have To Play Again
Follow this with Calvin Arnold - Satisfy My Woman to continue the mood. They are a real good fit together.- Andrew Jefferies - Slipped Into A Groove - Queen
Nice tune this for a late 70's track but who is playing it out and about? If anyone is- Which Record Do You Have To Play Again
Kelly Brothers - Crying Days Are Over- Best Voiced Black American
Any black U.S. record dealer who says "Yeah I got one of them somewhere you can have it for five bucks" Steve Mancha or Emmanuel Laskey- Cashing In
All very true James unless of course it's Ree Flores which is always £1000- Why Is It Rare To See Dj's Dance?
I dance a lot in the right circumstances but I'm not a big name DJ just a collector who DJ's. Mind you in most venues I spend more time being an 'obsesive chin stroking geek'- Why Is It Rare To See Dj's Dance?
Is that why they call Mark the 'Leg Injury' Mark Bicknell?- Worst Pressing
Show Me - Joe Tex I think the pressing was dearer than an original- Prefer The 2nd Issue?
I think they are the same from memory. But why noss do you have two different copies of record you think is rubbish did you find them or where you given them- Caressors & Ree Flores
I don't think thats arguementative at all. In fact the seller had had the copy on sale for over a week but it just so happened that he could have sold it twice in the space of half an hour. I didn't ask him how many enquiries he had had before that. As a rule of thumb, and this is probably just me, when I buy from the states I will not pay more in dollars than I think it's worth in UK£. This does mean I miss out on some items I want but I accepted a long time ago that I'll never own every record I want in any case. I seem to remember someone (James I think but apologies if I'm wrong there) stating the then book value of RF on a funk forum and offering to pay double that for a ex or better copy but that still wasn't £1000 mind you that was a wile ago The only true way to decide a value as I said in my original post to Tim is to auction it. Just because there have been £1000 bids in the past does not mean that there will be every time its up for auction. Take a look at the Cautions on Shrine and it's value. I sold one for £1,150 just last year yet one copy went through on ebay at $570 (£310) a couple of months later. Money can be tight in Jan so not a good time to auction records anyway but it may be the fact that money is tight for some people that some big money sounds become available then? If I ever get to own a Ree Flores I can gurantee that I will not have paid more than £500 and if that means I never own one, life will just have to go on.- Caressors & Ree Flores
Caressors is in the mid to high hundreds 5-7 I would think but Ree Flores is no where near £1000 IMHO. James Trouble may confirm how much he gave for his copy but I just missed out on one at $500 (by half an hour apparently) in November '05 so £500 would be fair to me. Mind you I am looking for one so I guess I would say that This one is if it is for sale is bad timing for me anyway If your in doubt Tim auction them on ebay let the market decide- Mixed Feelings - Sha-la-la - United
Cheers Gareth, I'm sick of that Butch playing my stuff- Mixed Feelings - Sha-la-la - United
Just tracked down a demo of this superb track. I believe Keb is playing it at the moment anyone got any more info e.g. Rarity / Price. All info gratefully received- The Admirations
The Aspirations I think is the rarer one. Well it is in our house- Fave Record With
The Inverts - Time will Change - Broadway - Most Overpriced Record
