Knackered Mecca Tape
Hi Mel, Hi Sean I think that it is a brilliant idea. There has been talk on this forum about a Museum, also heard that the same thing was being considered in Detroit. A Virtual Museum would be Positive move I think, a place where many Images, and Media like this could be placed on a database. There must be lots of stuff Posters, Badges, Photos etc that would be of Interest, to preserve for the Future. It would be a shame to lose them, forever.

It's Good Friday
Hi Miff I've always liked this too, along with records like "Reaching For The Best" 1st Version. Many others though from the same source were spoiled by extra long Instrumental Intro's. Which for me Made them very similar / repetative.

Pleased that you found some. As I mentioned once before, some of the Giant Copies sold by Soul Bowl in the 70's actually came from Lorraine Chandlers Garage according to the List. If I can find the List, It I will post it up.

There is of course this one as Auctioned recently on Manships, which has got to be It's rarest format. >>> LINK <<< John does get some wonderful records, how many will own this little beauty. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have just had a look on Soulful Kinda Music - Canterbury 506 - A Little Togetherness / Beginning Of The End - 1967 - Soultown 10 - Young Hearts Get Lonely Too / A Little Togetherness - 1970 - Zea 50004 - When You Wish Upon A Star / A Little Togetherness - 1971

Cindy Scott
Hi Kevin We had a recent thread regarding this record. >>> LINK <<< I'm not too sure of the current Value. Manships 3rd Edition had it @ £150 for the DEMO & £200 for the Stock Copy. The DEMO is hard to find, the Stock Copy is Extremely Rare. It was also Booted on Soultown. I hope that this helps. Incidentely, although I have seen the scan of a Stock Copy for Veep V-1253 - Cindy Scott - In Your Spare Time / I Love You Baby. I still haven't had Veep V-1254 - The Star-Treks - Gonna Need Magic - confirmed as a Stock Copy.

Anyone Seen An Atlantic Demo Like This?
As soon as I saw the --------------------Disk Jockey ------------------Advance Sample, ----------------------------------It reminded me of this one. Very similar, many Atco / Atlantic subsidiary Labels had a Similar Style. Certainly strange for the actual Atlantic Logo though.

What's These Worth These Days?
Here is the Original - (scan from Popsike.com) Your copy is the first re-issue (Release Date 25-03-72) One thing that I have noticed is that your re-issue Mentions Veep 1233 on the Label and is Mono, which I suspect the Original United Artists & the Veep Copy are also MONO. -MONO It was re-issued again on the B Side of "Better Use Your Head" but in STEREO, whether the mix is different in any other way I'm not too sure. -STEREO The Veep V-1233 & V-1228 Stock copy are Valued at £30 in Manships 3rd Edition. The Value of your "Gonna Fix You Good" re-issue £5 TO £10 I think, and it does have the original B Side. The original on United Artists is a lot rarer and more expensive - MANSHIP currently has a copy at £75.

Ironing Records
Hi Mike- Good question, what did happen to those Laser Players and were they ever cheap enough to be a realistic option. I always rather hoped that they would be, one day. I did a quick search and found this >>> LINK <<< Surely they could be made cheaper than that.

Hi Mark You're right, getting a bit tired now though, I'm a Night worker you see. Once I get reading the posts on here, time marches on.

Never managed to get "The Servicemen" unfortunately. Managed quite a few of the others though, including the Cool Off Test Pressing. It was very much a level playing field, relying on the Postman bringing the list early enough etc.

Hi Mark I remember that very well, and those dial up phones. I'm sure I could have phoned that number in the dark if necessary. Over and over all weathers to the phone box, queue outside, worse still, if I was outside waiting. Engaged, reciever down try straight away, again and again until you got through just to be told, as you say "sorry it's gone" Happy Days indeed. Especially when you got a result.
